WTF Are these voices?
The voices with the pitch adjustment sound straight out of an AI. They are absolutely horrible

Yeah i'll admit they're pretty bad. Most of the characters feel like robots

I almost picked the female highest pitched voice for my male character because it sounded amusingly like an AI assistant. In the end I barely resisted the temptation and decided to leave that for my next (female) character.

It is a known bug to the developers and they are fixing it. Set the pitch to the default middle position to fix it. You can change the pitch at anytime in your game. It is in the sound settings.

It is an issue but for some reason posts mentioning it keep getting closed. Shame you can't discuss game bugs if it involves certain characters.

Use Japanese voiceover

They are aware of the bug regarding voice pitch.
It'll probably be fixed in the first patch - but that's just a guess..

If you want to avoid this; just "Reset to Default" in your Audio settings (then adjust whatever you want music and such as - but don't touch Pitch). That fixes the "C3PO voice" of the main character.

Wait til you get to the pub in Hogsmeade, the owner's voice is broken completely, must be a bug or something

Lol I had no idea goku was voiced by a lady when I was a kid

This is dumb. I heard it in the previews as well and thought WTF that must be something wrong on my end... But no. I don't think it would be that hard to smooth out the audio. I mean, it's probably something you could automate. It's just a bad result of trying to change pitch without speed.

Nope. That's intended to be like that.

where can I see official updates/announcements like this? Steam forums seem useless as you can't even mention a certain bugged voice

It has the same distorted sound that the player character's voice gets when lowering the pitch

They quickly mentioned it during their developer stream.
A few content creators also mentioned that it had already been reported and should be in an upcoming patch.

No clue where to directly get this info. They probably have a Discord server for the developer (most do) or something.

Ah. I was not aware of that. I hadn't reached that point, before doing the fix for it, I mentioned a bit earlier in this thread.

It's intended to be extremely low? It's obviously bugged on the lowest preset

I noticed that too. There is a weird thing going on when changing the pitch of any of the voices from the default setting. It gets a weird computer/robot modulation sound to it. It sounds kind of amatuerishly mixed.
