Idea using weapons instead of wands in Hogwarts legacy

So, had an idea. What if we could be able to use weapons such as guns, later on maybe missiles/rockets in Hogwarts Legacy? This could really make exciting way of new combat possibly making battles more dynamic and intense. It could also lead to more customization and player choices, which would allow players to choose between using magic and firearms in different situations. Besides, it would also make a completly new way for players to interact and explore the world of "Harry Potter" and would offer a fresh and unique experience i think. It would probably also excite a completly new audience like FPS gamers that plays games like Csgo, Valorant, Overwatch and so on.

I think this could really be cool addition to the game, maybe later in the years of hogwarts having more modern weapons. Just imagine Hogwarts defended by missiles and having them attack monsters outside. It would not at all be so crazy since the mugglers already have it. Missiles could provide a new and powerful form of attack also, dealing massive damage to enemies. It would also introduce a new layer of strategy and decision making of when to use and not. Just imagine being able to call artillery strikes on enemies and hearing the cannons go off in Hogwarts and the enemies goes BOOM.

This could really bring some new life into the world of Harry Potter. What do you think? And before jumping to any hasted conclussions, please think about it

I don't know how some of you can't seem to see how much fun gunplay would be in this kind of environment? Imagine dual wielding wand and gun in each hand. And as someone else said, the ministery can only track spells, but they can't track when someone is shooting a gun. There would be so many cool cases where this would be great. Thinking of it. There could also be gunshops in game.

Imagine going to a guns bench where there are goblin/goblins selling these guns. There could be a wide range from Semi auto to Full auto guns. Everything from Glock/M4/Ak47. Also being able to maybe customize these gun by adding upgrades like silencers and scopes on them. I think this could also be a good discussions which kind of attachments there could be on them

Yo, I gotta say, I disagree with the idea of guns being included in the Hogwarts Legacy game. This franchise is all about magic, spells and potions, and that's what makes it so unique and captivating. Adding guns would just ruin the whole vibe and feel of the series.

Not to mention the characters. In the Harry Potter series, the characters are defined by their relationships, beliefs, and mastery of magic. But if guns are added, they just become weapon-wielding characters, with no unique personalities or quirks. That's just not what this franchise is about.

Finally, guns also bring up a moral dilemma. The Harry Potter series has a clear definition of good and evil, and the use of magic is seen as a tool for good or evil. But with guns, it's just a grey area and it's hard to determine the right course of action.

So, to wrap it up, I don't think guns have any place in the Hogwarts Legacy game. The franchise is about magic and spells, and that's what makes it so special. Adding guns would just detract from that and make it just another generic shooter game. Let's keep the magic in this one, folks!

I was more thinking of something like staves to wield kinda like a battlemage would be cool. Keep in mind I have no idea of the lore nor have I watched any of the HP movies or read any of the novels. But the magic and world does seem neat to me.

Why lug around a bulky rocket launcher that takes tens of seconds to reload when you could just point your wand and shout "Bombarda Maxima!"? Magic can do anything conventional weapons can do. All it takes is some ingenuity.

You know this is actually a pretty good idea. In a world where the ministry can track wand / spell usage having access to an actual gun just makes more sense. We live in a world where any 11 year old can Avada their classmates so really what's the difference between that and being able to conceal carry at Hogwarts?

Like said before, this universe is about wands, and it always have been about it. So, lets stay with wands, and nothing else please.
Battlemages ofcourse could exist, like aurors are, but still they use wands only as far as i know. So, nah, guns galore in this universe is a big no go for me!

Only muggles would use guns. To me, i think wizards would be beneath using a muggle tool instead of using a wand.
