It was on my Steam sale wait-and-see list. Now with Denuvo it is a no buy until its removed and gets my inconvenience tax. So, I'll pick it up after it goes under 50% on a Steam sale. That is if I remember it exists as I removed it from my Wishlist because of Denuvo.
Why do they always add this performance killing garbage? Why do gamers keep paying for it?

impotent hypocrisy.

Not shifting the goalposts. The only example where there wasn't a difference the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rig they were using couldn't run it at 60 to begin with. That's a technical fault on their end.
its not a technical fault at all, it is how you are supposed to benchmark these kind of stuff... you put yourself in a situation where the cpu gets bottlenecked, that way, any extra processes would affect the cpu even more causing worse performance...

so yeah, you clearly do not know what you are talking about

Literally is because of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rig putting a performance ceiling on the game.
how do you not understand that this IS how you are supposed to test it...

explain, if they are limiting their performance, how is it denuvo didn't have any extra performance impact.

tell me you don't know how to benchmark without telling me you don't know how to benchmark.

You did, now you're trying to be cute about it by lying and claiming I contradicted myself.
lmao what? the only one lying here is you... you did contradict yourself, repeatedly.

They check if the copy is cracked or if it has a valid license. How is the point repeatedly going over your huge clown wig?
because that isn't the point you were making. choose your words more carefully next time...

If it's not then why are you afraid to answer a simple question?
I am not "afraid" to answer it, I simply do not see the relevance of the question

I never claimed denuvo sits idly by while not doing anything, this is never an argument I made.

Because every example proved you wrong and the only one that might've been in your favor is entirely attributable to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the pc being used for benchmarking.
WHAT? jesus christ your sheer ignorance on this topic is making my head hurt... again, that is how you are SUPPOSED TO BENCHMARK SOFTWARE.

have you ever worked in IT? because from the sound of it the only time you touch a computer is when you play videogames, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god...

my point was: bad implementations of denuvo cause performance issues. so, tell me, how did a bad implementation causing performance issues prove that statement wrong? It is very fitting that you keep using the word clown, because there is indeed one in this topic, just not the person you thought it was...

If your DRM software takes an expert to implement properly without just eating CPU resources and shortening the lifespan of SSDs. You have bad DRM software.

DRM software, by it's nature needs to be implemented buy the people that *did not design it*

this doesn't happen...

nope

DRM software, by it's nature needs to be implemented by the people that *did not design it*
and games need to be made in engines not designed by those people.

they use libraries not designed by them.

they use API's not designed by them.

game development is a lot of using tools you didn't design...

That's literally my point?
If your DRM software has a history of poor implementation by people whose job it is to implement software that they didn't build guess what?
You made bad software

You made bad software
or, guess what, you had a team of devs that didn't really know what they were doing.

not to mention context also matters:

-from what I have seen the newer versions of denuvo do not have as many issues with implementation
-a lot of the times denuvo heavily affects performance when paired with another kind of DRM

every software can be badly implemented, that doesn't make the software itself bad.

Look at ue4, where tons of games have shader compilation stutters, while this is something the devs can fix by precompiling shaders. does that make ue4 bad? no, it doesn't.

or DX12, saw a lot of issues with implementations of it over the years, does that make it a bad API? no, because when it is implemented properly, it does EXACTLY what it should.

the software is NOT to blame when the implementations are at fault.

try to make a game or two, then you might understand

Hope the game is good, definitely not buying until it releases and is bug free. After that its a wait until Denuvo is removed.

did you not see the part where I also said average?

the average fps consistently switches between denuvo and denuvoless... as I said, the only one coping here is you.

you are lying about a video that everyone has access to...

No, they don't. You're the one now lying about a video everyone has access on it. Then trying to pre-emptively DARVO the situation.

I think that you are just opening it using steam, where the timestamp wouldn't work

You realize when you click a link in steam it takes you to either your browser, or steam's browser, right? Both of them are browsers.

check again, because that average fluctuates between higher and lower on both versions...

yes, you really are lying about what you are seeing

just like you lied about fortnite being in that video

and you do realise that the timestamps don't work on steam's browser right? which is what I was trying to explain to you...

the link itself DOES have a timestamp, I even doublechecked it

okay, can you like calm down perhaps? stop with the insults?

or is that all you have left? this started as a civil discussion and you just decided ad hom was your way to go from the start...

you know what they say right? Insults are the arguments employed by those who are in the wrong.

I'm perfectly calm. You've been condescending and pretentious since the get go. You don't even own the game yet for some reason you want to defend Denuvo so deeply. They aren't going to have sex with you, so what's the motivation? Are you paid marketing for denuvo?

There's also a distinct difference between ad hominem and simply insulting you. ad hom is when you say "your argument is wrong because you're x" where x= some form of character insult. An insult is simply an insult, not attached to any actual argument.

I think you're confusing current averages with the final averages. I'm talking about the final averages, they don't fluctuate.

Also, I didn't lie about fortnite jackass. I confused that saints row game nobody played for Fortnite because it has the exact same style.

The link doesn't take you to youtube so the timestamp doesn't work. It just opens the video embedded.
game devs are "experts" though

No, they aren't lol

no, you aren't. you feel the need to insult me for whatever reason every single time you comment, so yeah, it does seem like something is bothering you.

as for me, if me correcting you on your mistakes comes across as "condescending and pretentious" then that is an issue with you.

you are the one constantly lying and moving the goalpost while logging insults at me. do you really think that is acceptable when having a discussion?

You don't even own the game yet for some reason you want to defend Denuvo so deeply. They aren't going to have sex with you, so what's the motivation? Are you paid marketing for denuvo?
I am interested in the game, haven't bought it yet though. and correcting misinformation =/= defending.

There's also a distinct difference between ad hominem and simply insulting you. ad hom is when you say "your argument is wrong because you're x" where x= some form of character insult. An insult is simply and insult, not attached to any actual argument.
considering your only actual arguments have been insults I would say it is actually ad hom... but sure, if you want to go that route. you didn't actually come in here to have a discussion did you?
