Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy

Play as an Evil Wizard?
Can I join Slytherin and cast Spells and Curses on Hufflepuffs and the other Classes?
Disrupting the school and possess teachers?
Canyou even kill other student in this game?
Raise Hell on Hogwarts and its surrounding Towns?

Can you take a "bad" Path in this game or is it limited in what you can do as a Wizard?
I dont like the promise of "battling dark Wizards" to be honest.

Just wondering, since its an RPG. In Kingdom Come you could do that to some extent.

If you listen closely to Sebastian Sallow's Dark Legacy trailer, you can hear what sounds like Natsai Onai either dying or in pain as she says "you've made your choice". Combine that with the more dark and evil contrast of the Deluxe Edition's cover art and it's highly suggestive that you will be able to make choices in the game that will lead you towards a Dark Wizard ending path.

The mortality system deconfirmation probably just means you won't be able to freely do good or evil acts that affects your reputation like you could in Fallout New Vegas, such as being able to kill any non-hostile npcs for the hell of it, but rather it will be limited to choices made throughout the story.

You will most likely be able to choose how your character reacts toward things, you can react positively or negatively. You might have options to be on characters good or bad sides. I am pretty sure we are mainly getting an open world linear experience with rpg "elements".

If we are lucky this game could still have multiple endings, these endings could be pretty satisfying based on the attitude/personality you choose to go with. Even if we could do these things, it would be kind of pointless if they have zero impact on anything. The "consequences" for these things would probably just deny you the ability to progress the story.

To be fair we might actually see stuff like this happening through cutscenes.

well they only stated we wont have a morality system whatever ur choice it wont put u as a bad person where no one in school wants to be with u and even if u do good u wont get any morality where u become more trusted by good people i suppose, basically shape ur own adventure without the whole morality system like in red dead redemption
Well thats a bummer.
That basically means you can't do anything "wrong".
Not sure whats left "to shape", if the game plays only one way

Q: Does Hogwarts Legacy have a morality system?
A: Hogwarts Legacy does not have a morality system, but players will encounter various quests and storylines that will influence the witch or wizard they choose to become.
When meeting Sebastian Sallow (one of the companions available for the player), it's possible to choose between learning the Crucio spell or getting it casted upon oneself.

So it appears that the game will offer some choices that change the player character's affinity, even though they do not have a morality system.
You're asking us if you can take the fastest possible track to having your wand snapped, your character expelled, and spending the rest of their life in Azkaban, being tormented by Dementors?

I'm hoping that is not how the game will work... hence the question

I'm pretty certain that it will be plot and mechanic locked at a certain point. I mean, they're not going to let you go murder hobo on all the NPCS in a game focused around teenage kids. As we have seen in the trailers, there will be some dark and creepy elements, but I doubt they are going let you become another of version of Voldemort. More like an antihero than a villain.

Thanks for all the Input.
Seems like "Story-limited" Dark ending. Sounds cool tough.

You couldn't kill quest essential NPC's or children. A restriction that began with Oblivion, as you could freely murder the entire population of Morrowind, leaving the continent an empty wasteland.
Honestly some sort of expulsion "game over" system, if included, would make sense as the logical reason why you can't go full ham, do literally whatever you want.

If they include House Cup stuff, being too blatantly abusive to others would be a good way to end up ostracized by your House, when your malicious overt acts are tanking your House score.

A detention system could also work as a deterrent system, to going ham with evil, where you miss certain side quests and opportunities for interactions with NPCs, from being in detention instead of free to roam.

After giving it some thought, I think expulsion would actually be a terrible idea, from a pragmatic stand point. The dark wizards and goblins want to get their hands on our character, and Hogwarts is one of the most magically defensible places in the region. Kicking them out of school would strip them of that protection, and pretty much give the villains the chance to swoop right in and grab us for whatever nefarious plans they have in store.

Or worse, maybe we decide to freely join them and seek revenge upon the school for kicking us out?

Either way, the bad guys have a much better chance of winning, if we get expelled from school. Which is why I currently think the person trapped in the webs during the dark arts trailer might be the professor who threatened to report us to the headmaster if he caught us using dark magic.
It dont matter what you do, if you pick Gryffindor youre an NPC
