Rowling is not involved with this game.
As the title says. So if you want to boycott this, go ahead, you're only hurting working people.

Yes, she gets royalties: it's her IP, she'll get those no matter what. She was never involved in the game development, in any way.

Just because you're the only culture to think gender and sex exist separately, it doesn't automatically mean you're correct. A Banana isn't an Apple or a car isn't a bus just because it think it is.
Most people who care about the gender nonsense are people who are either desperate to get social attention or are just mentally ill, both of which I'm not going to indulge their fantasies.

mentally ill is enough hahah

She has her views. That is not a bad thing, even if you disagree with them who cares.

It takes a silly person to not want someone to get paid just because you don't agree with the views they have. I mean I would understand her views something like, we need to put all the so and so people in a camp blah blah something crazy, but her views are what many people feel. So you want to punish people for having a view that you don't have?

I just enjoy the fantasy world. Her views mean nothing, and hope she gets paid for making said world. That is it.

It's her world and it always will be. Anyone who doesn't like that can cry and cope.

if it makes anyone feel better jkr is 57
so at least we have to wait 30-50 years for her to croak
and probably not even that long before she goes senile if you dont consider her senile already

There is nothing wrong with her views. She actually defends legitimate women and women's rights.

The same people upset by having an infinitecimal fraction of their money going to 'welfare queen's getting upset that people aren't actively giving money to billionaires who politically disagree with them by choice.

Just pathetic.

Food stamps are for lazy people, think about the billionaires who will suffer. I actually wanna vomit.

I'm confused. Are you arguing for, or against Rowling?

Also, wasn't Rowling living in poverty before she started writing?

I don't care about her views. She can love Hitler for all I care. Her feminist views mean nothing to me.

Her job is to entertain me, her views, her beliefs. Her values. Don't entertain me. So I don't care.

She just told the truth and angered all the TiMs and TiFs.

I really hope she was involved and they're all just lying and the first words you see on screen are "Written, Directed by and Starring J.K Rowling"

Anyone else find it funny that a group meant to foster women's empowerment splintered into a bunch of subfactions and began fighting with itself over who the true feminists were?

JKR involvment or not, hurting the "poor" WB execs doesn't sound that bad to me if I'm being honest.

She said trans women are different than bio women, which is true. A quick google search can show the ways in which their bodies and early lived experiences will differ, That's all she said and everyone wants to equate it to her saying trans women aren't valid women. It's just silly.

JK did not deserve to be cancelled.

Nope.
She's spreading trans panic, about trans women wanting to get into women spaces where they don't belong to according to her. Presumably, to assault cis women.

But it's true she's the... "showable" face of TERFS. You may want to look at the people she follows and agrees with, you'll see it's not as silly as you'd think at a first look.

Those spaces wouldn't happen to be women's sports, would they?

Regardless, her political views and opinions do not concern me in the slightest. Her viewpoints don't retroactively change the fact she produced one of the most successful series of children's novels to come out of recent history.

Sports is one thing, but in this case, it's more the good ole public bathroom issue.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, trans athletes overall don't outperform cis ones. Pretty sure there's some studies around about that... 'cause, y'know. Hormonal treatments.

And yes, she did wrote that, I don't think anybody is trying to rewrite that fact.
