Honestly, for a Compile Heart game, this is about as close to greatness as you're going to get. The graphics are passable (notably the optimization isn't great- my laptop that met all the spec requirements couldn't get above 15-22 fps with noticeable dips), the art direction is excellent, and the soundtrack is great (the main battle theme "Lose the Battle, Win the War" got me to buy the game when it went on sale, so that's something), and there's a male MC who I actually like- who would have thought- men can be good characters too. Anyway, the story is decent and for those who say the second half falls flat... eh. I'll be honest, I didn't see it. Game was great all the way through and there aren't too many "IF/CH" bits like Neptunia seems to have, so I had a nice time. Basically... buy the game on sale, what do you have to lose, like $10? It's a 11/10 Compile Heart game, but overall, I'd give it an 8.

*Duly note that I ended up getting Lydia's ending - so yeah, this is peak fiction.
