Carriers for klingons?

I am a huge fan of carriers. however...they are hard to find. i have one currently, a mirror carrier. its a little baisc. i cant get many choices of hanger pets due to ship requirments. so what kind of carrier would be good for me to get? (without zen anyway)

Carriers are hard to find? As the KDF? What are you smoking? KDF were the ones who started out with Carriers in the first place. Only later were the Federation given limited access to them.

And then of course there's the Breen Carrier from Winter Wonderland which you won't be getting unless you already did the daily event for photos earlier. It takes 25 days to get the photos required and the event ends on the 15th. (Your alts get a discount so it only costs a single day though so keep doing it)

What everyone seems to be missing is that the OP asked for a carrier that can be obtainted without using Zen. As such, the Breen Saar Theln is the only one other than the regular, mirror and fleet Vo'quv (the latter costing fleet modules, so thats debateable). Every other carrier is either C-Store, lockbox or promotional and will cost you a lot money or time, which goes double when it comes to unlocking special hangars such as the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship for the Dreadnought Carrier.

Not at all - But there aren't any options available to OP as you mention yourself. The Breen carrier is out of reach until next christmas.

There are no options about kdf carriers without paying zen with the exception of the tier 4 Vo'qu. Lobi options are even more expensive than paying real money for one of em.

The Vo'qu is one of the bests "free" carriers out there, and if you have a fleet you can upgrade it to a fleet version and after that to a T5-U version. This is the only "free" carrier you can get.

Again,i dont get people with such a hurry for having things. If you want a tier 5 zen carrier, just be patient, make 3 or 4 alts, and trade dil for zen everyday, and in 2 weeks you have enough zen to buy the Karfi or any other zen ship. This is the way it works. Now, you want a carrier asap?? you cant. Not unless you pay right away the money to get it.

You can get Mirror Voquv for the time being.
The best carriers are obviously lockbox/lobi (JHDC, Narcine). At the current variety KDF saddens with carriers.

Unfortunately, Free Carriers are fairly rare. The Sarr Theln is quite fantastic(basically a T6 Dyson Science Destroyer with two hangars) and probably one of the best ones at the moment. However, it's exclusive to the Winter event and if you don't already have it, you're pretty much out of luck for this year.

About two? years back they gave away the Obelisk, but the only way to get that now is either from a Fleet Spire or for Lobi.

Sadly, the KDF carrier fleet is aging at this point. I know there's a lot of hope we'll get a new T6 C-Store one, but getting new KDF ships is like pulling teeth with the devs. The (Mirror) Vo'quv and Kar'fi are kind of getting left behind these days.

The Top 3 Carriers at the moment are the Sarr Theln, Narcine and Jem Hadar Dreadnought Carrier - the latter two are quite costly.

I love the fleet Kar'Fi carrier. It is like a raptor and carrier at the same time. Great all round ship, especially with the aggro breaking phase shift console.

Yes it is. The Vo'qu is a free tier 4 klingon ship, probably the best tier 4 free ship in the game.

But if you call the free and mirror ships tier 4, then what about the actual tier 4 ships at level 30?
You can't compare those. Less consoles, less BOFF powers and significantly less hull.

IMO the gap between tier 4 (refits or not) and tier 5 RA ships is bigger than tier 5 RA VS tier 6.

While I agree that it doesn't make much sense that tier 5 encompasses 3 ranks of ships, thats what it is though. Technically, the old lockbox ships should have been tier 6 and what we got with DR should have been tier 7. But thats not what happened sadly so people confuse tiers 4 and 5 all the time.
