Is this a good weapon? i upgraded it from IV to VllI so, is that powerful for my rank? (i'm level 55)

No, at level 55 VIII is junk. You wanna be using MK XI+ at this point.
Also, do not waste resources on upgrading such a low level torp. If you want it at a useful level, run the mission that gives it again (check mission rewards for replay.)

If you are KDF though, then you can get a MK XI by simply running a DOFF assignment in sector space.

You wasted an upgrade. Mk XIV is the highest level right now.

It's not without its purpose - It doesn't work AT ALL with any ability that affects the torpedo (Like the powerful torpedo - or spread), but for a ship that don't have these (lack of Bridge Officer) it is fine.

It also has a higher damage than other torpedoes - So put it in the bank and upgrade it someday.

Of all the possible torps to use from Episode Awards, it is not the most effective at high levels. Transphasic Cluster Torp for instance is better overall. Add Fleet, Reputation Space Set and other torp options, it rates pretty far down the line.

Hm okay. because i noticed you can only get a IV version, so i upgraded it from that ever since. i didnt know if that was a good idea XD

It is still a pretty "meh" torpedo, even at MK XIII. There are so many other options out there that are just all around better. Look at the ones available through the Reputation system if you want something that is really effective. The Borg Omega Weapon, the Undine Gravimetric, the new Delta Torp, and even the Romulan Rapid firing plasma Torps are good in their own ways.

As mentioned earlier, you can get i from DOFF assignments (KDF) or as a mission reward (both factions) as mk XI as soon as you are level 50. I don't know if its offered beyond XI at higher levels though.

I switched mine (VIII) with a Transphasic Torpedo Launcher [Dmg]. I would say try to sell it.

Love the Har Pengh, but it reminds me of the g uy who got the retrofit phasers from the dividian missions, got 6 of them, then upgraded them all to XIV. They are beautiful.
