Elite marks now? Can we have one update not include more grind?
Every fracking time, they have to screw with some system to add a new rediculious level of complexity no one wanted.

OP is clearly a troll. Just wish there was a way I could block him.

"Elite Marks" is just a more universal name for things like Bio-Neural Processors, Voth Cybernetic Implants, Ancient Power Cells, etc.

It's not something new; it's adding a way to convert normal marks into those items. It is something I have personally been requesting for the past several months.. and was rather pleased to see it was added pretty much exactly as requested - 20h cooldown and all.

That is awesome considering how impossible they made it to get all those items with their last "update" making Advanced and elite STFs and such pretty much impossible to pug. It was a catch 22 in that you needed the upgraded gear to be able to play the missions that gave the items to get said upgraded gear.

This project does not exist in Reputations that do not have an Elite Mark

If its a simple mechanic to allow more flexability , why is it not universal? If the 'special' componants are not the 'elite mark' then the suggestion its something to make the system easier..? I can not see it.

They're not "replacements", they are the SAME THING. "Elite Marks" is just the internal name for them; a category, if you will.

The New Romulus and Nukara Reputations do not have an 'elite currency'; that is what the patch notes were referring to.

You'll still need Ancient Power Cells to get Delta set gear, for example. All this is doing is adding a way for you to convert 100 delta marks into an APC once every 20 hours.

So even though I have to wait 20 hours, I still have one source of guaranteed rare gear that does not require sacrificing goats to the Random Number God?

Yes.

That's actually a big step in the right direction, believe it or not, I'm impressed.

No.

There is no Random in acquiring the now so called Elite Marks.
Either you finish a Advanced or better Elite Que or you don't.

Now there is just this dumb unecessary Project that converts marks into a Elite Mark.

If you compare the time needed to grind 100 marks to just picking up 2 Ancient Data Cores by doing Bughunt Elite you get why i say it is unecessary.

It has no relevance at all.
To add a second option to gain reputation currency that is allready way to easy to get hold off equals fail.

The only thing it did move forward is wasted DEV time better been suited for otehr pressing matter in the same departmend.

I will say that after close examination it's not a bad change, not the best change for the problems we have. It has not added any more grind than we already face.. that I can tell so far.

The grind will keep growing, players need to get used to it.

Why do they "need" to get used to it? What is wrong with some healthy protest against bad game design and voicing ones opinion?

It wasn't a dig on me, just another opinion on the facts we face.
