I've had my anniversary one from last year in my bank for ages, only recently been planning to use it to get me an Eternal class. Now I have two, I dunno what to use the other on o.O I might save it just in case there's a chance to use it on my fav trek ship, the Amarie Heavy Escort.

I'm amazed they're giving out a T6 coupon now though, thought they would have saved that for the last freebie before the event starts. If they're giving this out now, how are they gonna top it for the next few days' giveaways?

I've got 4 or 6 of these piled up in my bank. You hear how it's so hard to get/buy a T6 ship yet the game hands them out left and right. All my characters have them and I didn't pay for a single one.

In all fairness, most of them require players to do TFOs and the like...if players aren't interested in that content or can't do them for some reason, then the coupons are pretty hard to get. As I said above, I've had one in storage since the last Anniversary event, but this is only the second one I've been able to get.

I've gotten mine from give away's like this, 1 from the Phoenix prize event and the others from the various packages (like elite services (maybe not that one per se, but those like that) that have been give away's or from the contest (prizes) you used to see on mmorpg.com.

I've never done a TFO or event grind to get one.

theres t6 zen ships with nice traits, nice seatings or a good console and sometimes with 2 or 3 of those, sadly i was lately reminded that the definition of perfect changes with pov.
so when i say i lately got me the trailblazer after i got the bozeman then only bc my non engis needed more survival, some other good ones were the cardi sci dreadnaught.

but look what i actually did was edit the internet list of rankings for ship traits and saved the zen ones and went from there lookin for some with nice consoles/seatings.
promise of ferocity and the one pilot ship that improves gravity well duration? already bought long ago.

You missed it by about 6 hours. But you can still grab a couple bridge officer upgrades. What you need to do is click the Zen Store button at the lower left corner of the minimap, then go to the bottom and click the Promotions tab. These types of promotions aren't very common, except during the first week of February to coincide with the anniversary. And as you've seen, they aren't very loudly announced.

Ships are ranked by Tiers that (generally) correspond to the rank your character holds; For example (not exact) your LT can fly T(ier)1 ships, LCDR T2 etc.... up to T5 which is the last free tier ship you earn.

T6 are the top and most/all? can be used by everyone after they get out of their tutorial and then the ship levels up with you (as opposed to being totally OP right from the start). Getting a T6 ship early is generally seen as a good thing.

That's for sure! I log in every day but there was no announcement in the launcher news feed until the 7th. I anticipated the anniversary event would be next so I was eyeing the news every day but I saw no post appear until the 7th, thus missing the first three days.

The giveaways are also mixed in at random places in my promotions tab (as opposed to being at the top of the list) so are easily missed if I am not specifically searching for their presence there.

I'm most disappointed to have missed the Elite Captain and Exp ship upgrade tokens. Maybe next year I'll be on top of it if this new DECA team continues the tradition.
