That's not what your mom said when i made sweet love to her...LOL!!! but seriously that's where you're wrong now because windows 7 is trash now even though i liked windows 7 before windows 8 and 10 but eventually windows 8, and windows 10 will be obsolute at some point in the future...so the minimum best OS is windows 8 but that'll be down the crapper sooner than later...
The only issue there is on windows 10 is that it consumes more ram than windows7. And another one that i think it does, i am not sure. Is that it makes your hdd be at 100% because microsoft tweaks it for ssd's. Thinking your hdd is ssd.
So if you got 4gb ram pc with a dual core cpu and an old hdd, with a video card that supports only dx11... Then sure stick with windows7
The pc savy people from India that works on windows server 2000 and microsoft office 2003 and have a gaming pc at home on windows 7 tell people windows 10 it's bad. Epic!
Use Linux, mate, it's only uncomfortable for the first month. And dpouble-boot or separate PC with Windows 10,11, 100500 or whatever just for some of the games and nothing else.
There are ways to get win 10 free and it works great as a dual boot if win 7 is already installed as both OS's and most motherboards give you the option to choose what you want to boot into whenever you start up.
I use win10 purely for win10 gaming because I don't like forced updates and Micro$oft's built in spyware and telemetry bullcrap, so I use windows 7 for everything else as well as older games that don't work on 10.
I am in estrn-Europe not india. and I have dail-up speeds (up to 80kb/s) because they cut (last year) my hardwire without asking and put fiberoptics everywhere (and in store you cannot find simple fiber optic network card for PCI or simple reliable switch to convert it all to good old lan/UTP). And I cannot order anything from online as the costs got out of control for local inventory shipping. Not to mention anything from outside country.
Choose the third path...Windows 11?
Resistance is futile...you will be assimilated into the Microsoft Collective...
You don't need to, you can directly upgrade from 7 through the windows interface.. it packages up your win 7 install into a single folder that can be deleted when your finished.
So install 7, goto microsoft site and click on the upgrade to win 10. it will do a quick check to see if you have a legit win 7 copy and key and then it will just install and update. It can get an error if your clock is off so make sure you sync that first to avoid the time error. other than that it's a simple process that even on older comps is done in about 30 mins.
You can even run this on dial up though i wouldn't recommend that unless you had a good dl prog that lets you restart where you left off if you get a glitched, though honestly i don't know how anyone on dial up wouldn't have that already.. Try taking your rig somewhere that has a decent connection maybe a local cyber cafe would let you plug in for the time you need
I DO NEED TO! (I don't have time to screw around with win10 upgrades and patches , I have 80kb/s speed of net and 0 time and only a couple of gb of empty space) - for me best to install win10 on usb , but tried everything unsuccessfully.(only win 10 worked is the one that's already in wim.file that cannot be modified , it resets like using deep-freeze). so no GPU driver in that recovery iso.
You might just be SOL then. What's your system specs? Are you getting any errors or is it just outright failing?
Specs : Dell Precision 490 , 2x Xeon E5320 @ 1.86ghz ,26gb DDR2 FB-RAM , ATi HD7750 2GB GDDR3 , Graphics memory available 5.88gb, OS is on a HP DG146ABAB4 SAS 10k SCSI , game is on a WD3200AAKS
=During installation via WinToUSB , win10/8 crashes partition of USB tumb drive after 4-5 h of running/installing.
if I try installing (from DVD) to a VHD mounted from USB drive , it runs out of space saying there is a problem detecting files already copyed.
I written on a few topics here, without luck. Unable to install win10 to usb flash drive. Tried everything conceivable , even copy-paste from recovery iso to usb.
