Did you double check your internet connection? Did you update your computer outside of game? Did you try to force verify STO? Did you check your security/antivirus settings for your computer? If you done all of those and still have problems then you need to gather your current specs for your computer and internet hookup and submit a report to STO devs via their website or via launcher...

Also did you set up an account via their website and verify via email? If you haven't check your email inbox and in spam folder

Also did you check and see if you got permanently banned?

CAPSLOCK on?

Have you tried logging into your account on https://www.arcgames.com/en/games ?
(STO doesn't use your steam login Handle/Password)

When in doubt, Reboot (PC and Modem)

yes as I said there is nothing wrong with my pc or internet connection I may have wireless but mine is always good and I have a account from a few years ago that is good I was just playing yesterday without issues and idk what force verify STO does or is and there is no reason for me my account to be banned so those are not the cause.

- Make sure you are running the game as Administrator or account with administrator rights.

- Use the troubleshooting compatibility options in Windows OS.

- UnCheck On-Demand Patching. Just turn it off, period.

- Have you turned off On-Demand patching in the Options menu of the launcher, ticked Force-Verify, clicked Apply, then waited until the files were patched, and tried again to get into Star Trek Online.

- Use Safe Mode in the STO launcher Options, when you have troubles.

- Use Force Verify in the STO launcher Options to check the files integrity in STO, when you have troubles.

- Make sure all the game's exes are in your PC's Firewall exceptions.

- Make sure your anti-malware program active defenses is not interfering with the STO game files.

Important Game files exes in the Star Trek Online folder

star trek online.exe
Gameclient.exe

- Many problems with the game stem from poor or faulty Network connection between your computer and the game servers. Read the sticky thread on the official forum, "Read this before Posting to STO Arcgames forum."

Other 3rd party programs running in background can cause STO to crash. Including the Arc launcher. If you have the Arc launcher on your gaming computer, uninstall it, but make it keep Arc games on. >

To get deep into troubleshooting your STO game. >

Go to the directory you have Star Trek Online installed in your computer.

Go to Star Trek Online.exe and make a shortcut.

Go to the properties of the Star Trek Online shortcut and add at the end of target the following:

-console

Or you can put -console in Set Launch Options in the General tab of Properties of the STO link in Steam game list.

Afterwards, start up Star Trek Online. A command prompt console should come up that will bring up what is going on as the game runs that you can copy and paste to a text editor.

- Look in the Star Trek Online directory, there are individual log files that are produced each time there is any error during game run and stored there in the top > ERRORS_year-month-day_time.txt, PACKET_year-month-day_time.txt, pct_year-month-day_time.txt (patching?), debug.txt ,, There is a folder Logs in the Star Trek Online directory that has log files also.

idk what caused the issues but it's working now.
I was having a ton of server disconnects, usually within 1-5 minutes of logging in, even with a 300Mbps connection, Had to set up a NAT Port Forward rule in my router on TCP 7000-7500.

https://support.arcgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017624014-How-do-I-configure-my-router-for-Cryptic-Studios-games-

Also, Cryptic, or whoever owns them now, is supposedly running 2 to 4 other MMOs all off the same server location that can make it hard to connect or stay connected at peak hours.

it seems that more often the game kicks me out disconnects me sometimes it's ok and sometimes it's not and the cause is not my pc or my net connection and it seems that only this star trek mmo disconnects me no other mmo does this to me and I do play others like secret world legends, lotro and few others and not once did they disconnect on me so I just gave up and uninstalled star trek and deleted al thel files and the installer.

This worked for me I logged onto their website they have changed the way verification works and want you to log on and verify your account. I was having the same issue until i did this and verified my account on their website.

Server Not Responding (SnR) is an issue that has been with the game since it was first launched.

Basically the server times out and punts you. Note the word SERVER. Its got very little to do with your PC or internet. They have know about it for years, but I think either technical limitations or investors have stopped them trying to fix it.

The way the game is installed is the main issue. Only the core of the game is installed onto your PC. When ever you change a map/location, you will notice the Patching up in the top left. That is the game downloading that map.

You can opt to install the whole game in the launcher, but be prepared to have a large file on your drive. This does cut a little of the SnR kicking, but not 100% of it!

It's part of the same thing @Raven. What happens is as you change maps, the game downloads the map. But sometimes the Server doesn't respond, so you end up getting disconnected.

But in your case the server is not responding as you log in, causing the same thing. I have had it to in the past, both login in and changing maps. SnR.... <kick> followed by several seconds of cursing as I log back in again :D . I have even had it happen several times mid combat!

So basically the disconnect can happen at any time!

Their server is under to much load, handling several different games.... which is stupid! And it will never be fixed. As the investors call the shots, and all they want is a fat pocket. This is also the reason the umpteen bugs have never been fixed :(
