How did Susan get out of jail?

She was arrested in previous game and then what? Were they to embarrassed how easily she got in an released her? Or grateful she repaired everything?

In number 7, her son Jimmy says "First, dad and I bailed you out from the cops, then the feds come poking around about you, and then you completely disappear for, like half a year."
Presumably, Susan and her family made bail on their own. Then the case was turned over to the federal government. Possibly the feds had the charges dropped or shelved?
