No bullet hole on window

I last played this a few weeks ago and got a stuck for a while because I had to search like 4 whole floors of an adjacent apartment building because there were never bullet holes in the window to help figure out the bullet trajectory.

Was this a weird bug or are those just not implemented yet?

It's a known bug, my guess would be it's like most "missing" crime scene items where it does spawn but in a place that's not visible/accessible. Like the windows allow a wider range of angles for snipers to fire through than they should, so the bullet ends up passing through the wall instead of the window proper.

I've seen snipers take potshots through furniture.
