Lost Object

I have tried to do these before but gave up after a while, have never been successful. However now with the achievement I am once again trying to do it. My questions are: is the object just out and about lying around on one of the floors and I'm just missing it? A lot of them say Basement -2, so am i just missing it being underwater. Or is it in someones apartment? If it is how can I determine the missing object vs if that person also happens to have one? Because the one time I thought I found it turning it in didn't complete it.

I believe they end up in the hallways and in corners and stuff. I don't think they show up in people's houses.

There's definitely the possibility that it's underwater in b-2. I haven't been able to solve one of these mini-cases myself, but that's mostly for lack of trying.

This kind of mini-case can be safely ignored until you happen to find the missing object- You aren't on a time limit.

If it's a range of basement -2 to floor 2, search the businesses on the ground level. I often find missing objects in restaurants and bars.

They can be found anywhere a small object might spawn. I found a Ring behind the counter on the ground floor of a hotel.

I cannot confirm if the object has a chance to spawn inside an apartment. Sometimes I haven't found an object and gave up on it, hoping that it wasn't inside an apartment. That would leave too many possible places too search.

Yeah I should have mentioned I have no evidence that these items don't spawn inside apartments. I simply assume they do not, as that would be... Absurd.

There is a possibility that those items can in fact spawn inside an apartment. I haven't tested.
