Thank you for pointing out this fact.
Indeed, Young Souls is mostly designed for the local coop and that's why there is no online coop.
Adding online coop would require a lot of production time for the devs and would definitely delay the release date to a later date.
Even though there is no online coop, we hope that you will enjoy the game as it is.
Honestly they should do a look at how much it would cost them to implement online co-op, even if it is a lazy port connection implementation.
It improves a game's reach and marketability. Might be worth the delay/cost.
Funny also how the person litterally ask to no tell them to Remote play and you see everyone coming here to say just that.
It's generally the same kind of people who would complain about the lack of a functional matchmaking and deem the game "dead" when it found nobody, and basically represents themselves half the risk in trying to make a game with online co-op.
Sure, I wish all games in the world were co-op, had both online and offline co-op, it would be tremendously convenient. But expecting, and then demanding it, it just absurd.
It's 2022 and consumers are still ♥♥♥♥, and I bet it'll only get worse.
