Is this game worth playing atm? Low player base

I miss playing a game like this and elsword but both elsword and this game player base are really low, is this worth getting in or is it just a p2w mess?
And is it worth playing with friends?

This is my childhood game and I instantly downloaded it when I saw it yesterday. The player base is low, but I still get a chance to play with other players and do Job Missions. It is efficient and amusing to play with others. You are lucky to have steam friends to play this game and lvl up together or even make a guild. You can also have fun playing pvp. The nostalgia is so strong that I can play this game for hours.

p2w? no, but if you don't want to grind your way up then you are free to spend for stats, other than that there is just cosmetics to spend money to here,

btw, pvp is much like a ghost town as of now

It's fun for a few hours, but when you reach max level, what takes about a day, you basically hit a pay-wall and there are two options you can take:
1) level up all the other characters up to 85, gear them as much as possible and do dailies with ALL the characters for like 3 months to get gear just to progress
2) pay $$$ in order to get reinforce stones within a few minutes and get all your gear up to +17.

I don't recommend it, it's fun only for a while, but then you hit the implicit paywall that is terrible to overcome without dedicating a few hours a day just to play the game a little bit further.

1: level up all characters to 85 is not necessary but helps a lot, hell some chars and be lvl 0 and still works (lime and veigas basicly). now is true that level up all characters to 85 is a objetive or I suggest play other game....
About gear, is not 3 months per char after you get 1 char lvl 85 ( yup only 1 char is needed lvl 85 rest can be 4 job for work but again all 85 helps, the time needed depend of how you play and what you do, but basicly is do all hero dungeons, sadly this game is repetitive but is very rewarding in stats gets 100k is a joke, get 200k is a little of work, 300k ok you finally decided to work, get 400k to 600k that is not neccesary with current content needs dunno still not have it, have 8 chars in 300k cause I prefere that over 1 overpowered.
2: Really.. just really WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SUGGESTING. ok +17 only worth epic for weapon, maybe for gloves and both are really worst that a good rune ... really dont know in what universe have +17 worth. What you want is cards, better stats (reset with gp single resets aka do TOD until you get bored), or runes.. basicly what this guy suggesting is get at max 20k TA approx when you have 400k.. that is not approx 5% in attack power for get 1 +17 epic that oh no.. not worth.. really forget 2 that is trash but sadly is not so good either.

Yup game is not p2w cause there is nothing to win, pvp is death and at 500k-700k there is nothing worth to do appart of challenging yourself solo TOD for no good reason, but if you want get max theorical TA, you need 2 gacha sets that cost something like 200 usd... again for something you no need unless you want really expend in get maximal theorical....
EDit: really cant be sure of max ta per 17+, rest is less than 300 points, gloves is 1k more in ta (way less than a rune) and weapon the one that worth is 10% crit dmg (that is not high enough) and more atk.. that again is worst that a good rune.. so probably is like dont know 10k TA for those 2.. but again not sure.

the gap between cashers and ppl that don't pay for stuff is very big

I don't think the game is worth it at this point, nothing really exciting about it anymore

no incentive to play with others
nothing really changes and the level design is very boring and monotonous

I decided to come back a year after it came back on steam, it is still dead, all servers no matter what time I am on are all "fair" and Asia being smooth, i rarely see anyone on no matter the dungeon, it seems most who still play are at level 70+ areas but even then it is still semi dead which is off putting for new players and quite boring to level each character up solo

those who says classic is pay to win are probably those who just want to spread hatred,

everything except from legend cosmetics and pets with stun are the only things you will not get from not vp uploading,

bad stats? there are dungeons to get reset scrolls
+17? there are boxes that gives refinery scrolls and even transmute
pets? there are decent pets from harrier
cosmetics? there are daily quests to get coordi fragments

ok here to disappoint more, game have only 1 place with teams and depending time too, new dungeons in tricktria and TOD. The rest is usually more easy solo it cause well not cause p2w but cause people learn what they have to do and not make it more hard.
That people come and comment again P2W without answer my comment make me say it again:

1. PVP stats are semi normalized, that means that people tht pay have a adventage, not much but will have, in all case the char used and ability matters more.
2. GET 500K TA without spend cash is so easy that anything that work in that and not have it is doing it wrong, or not want 500k TA cause,
3. YOU ONLY NEED 300K FOR DO ALL IN THIS GAME, yup that is the thing is p2w, well want max stats that you no need, yup pay already said it, but want do ALL content for the game (do any dungeon that exist in game) well congrats you no need pay anything.

Nope and nope.. I mean I HAD DONE MY F5 TOD WITH AMY AT 250K TA.....so stop lying about game....
PD: My Amy have 0 CASH, actually my Amy now have 300k XD my main with cash is MARI with 420K but again I NOT WORK IN GET 500k TA. Forgot say, I not do TOD 10F is so bad reward/time that not worth, but did it long ago with my Mari when she had 300k TA.

It isn't, a pure f2p player can reach 500k TA nowadays, while people who spend reach 600k. That's not "very big", that's a 20% difference in TA, which doesn't mean much as at that TA level anything bumps you by a lot.

Pure BS, no one is kicked because of their character. People get kicked due to their TA, but not character. Every character is capable of doing all the content currently available in the game.

Guess you haven't been playing lately. Playing with others is encouraged in new content, as drops are shared. The main part of the endgame (ToD 5f) is always done in groups as it is way faster than going solo.
