Characters NOBODY Wants to Play With?

If not for the game encouraging players to use every character for permanent stats, are there characters that the community (or individual thoughts) generally agrees are just bad? I've always been open to believe all characters have a niche, some of which simply aren't for me, (like Lass, because I'm a Lime main and the two characters operate on polar opposite fundamentals from each other) but are there characters more universally disliked in PvE rather than simply being indifferent towards?

Balance-wise the only character most ppl agree is bad right now is Dio

I just so happen to be working on him atm. Using a build that works around the time marble ability absolutely baffled by being limited by not having Dusk Bringer job preventing me from putting Skill Points into things. Thankfully we have a very generous event for trying things and getting rid of what's not working. Other than what I've sacrificed, I'm pretty satisfied with what I have managed to get working.

I don't particularly like how I have to upgrade the level of skills I'm not even interested in just to finish the tree.

My end game for him is definitely going to be bolstering his vitality and crit stats.

I am not sure how characters currently play since I play them on release and then never again. From what I know there are 2 characters that fall behind everyone else. Dio is considered the worst AP character, but if you can afford to gear him up nicely then he can be pretty good apparently. The second one is Amy and from what I know she hasn't gotten any improvements. Her MP gain is the lowest of all characters, her damage is the lowest of all characters, her buff skills are very weak so she is not even useful as a support. The weakest MP character other than Amy would probably be Elesis, but she is much more usable now after being buffed.

one of the great advantages, if not the greatest of them, of the gradual launch of the characters over the months was certainly the variety of players for each character. There are the most popular ones, of course, like Arme and Ronan, but no char is abandoned.

its cuz you are still leveling, Dio is absolutely without a doubt the worst charecter on TOD

Amy is actually pretty good, as a dps that is, she has alot of oneshot skills that help her alot on TOD
her support is garbage tho
also elesis nowadays is one of the best characters in the game, shes basically ronan without the support
