if you have steam running as admin you can setup steam link on your device and the game running on pc will stream to it then you can either pair up a bluetooth controller or use the touchscreen control layout & play the game like that

Running Steam as admin is not a fix, the developer should fix the problem themselves, something is very wrong if you have to run Steam with admin rights when you actually shouldn't have to.

The Steam overlay works fine even without Steam running as Admin, actually running Steam with admin rights will prevent the overlay from working.

Game works fine with Xpadder, I've got no choice but to use it now since the game refuses to accept input from Steam input controllers.

you're not wrong, they should definitely fix controller layouts, heck make controllers officially supported even, feel like its long overdue. I personally chose this method cause i hate needing a program to fix another, less is always better for me. I don't know about admin rights preventing overlay, either big picture or steam overlay works fine for me but i never really use it so...

I ended up having to run Steam with admin rights for a different game for the same reason (it was for Closers while Steam input still works in Closers without admin rights most of the controller layout for it didn't work), the overlay still does work even with Steam running with admin rights.

With how old Grand Chase is I really doubt KoG will ever get controllers to natively work with it and the fact it's still using the same engine it did before it was shut down the first time. There was a time in the past when it was able to detect controllers, but I doubt it will ever be possible for it to do that now.
