Who are the top 3 characters for pve

that is not easy to answer, dont get me wrong we know some good chars but they are too dependent of map, a best character for harkion is not neccesary the best for berkas, for example elesis 2nd job at berkas is top, but take out of there and boom she is not on top.
Other example in groups 4 job jin is great, impressive, actually even works in harkion but in berkas and ToD is worst that even elesis.

Now with that said this will be my personal list and why, first mari.. yup she is my waifu so probably some bias. NOw best combo is 3 job and 4 job, actually her 4 job 3 bar is comparabe with arme and with her 3 job berkas becomes possible solo. Her DPS make her worth in ToD even if its not top.

Second and have to say this is not in order, Ronan, Yup that guy but only cause well have 2 of the best skills in game and is holy bless, even with the nerf have it in any party will boost the dps a lot. His survival skills are too great and 4 job have some secs of invulnerability that you can use for tank.

Finally Ley, yup her is crazy usefull and probably in my opinion the best char in whole game. First she can buff herself with atk, crit chance, def and hp recovery. Her summons do a lot of damage and you can have 2 in field. Phantom applies defense down and her skills do very high dmg, is so high that probably are comparebale with many others in game. Now she is not best at berkas so probably could go down, still well even in berkas she can do a lot of damage that not fall back so far.

arme is basically op in every situation ever since 2003
Ronan too (on classic)
they both have above average dmg and a ton of utility, they are basically must picks on TOD
for third place it depends, if you like support better maybe ryan? but if you want dps probably lass or ley fit here, too
btw if you ever wonder what character is really good on any grand chase server, be it official or private one, always go with arme
arme is literally top tier since season 1, she has too much utility to not be top tier, like ever, and on top of that she also has good dmg, delay, mp regening skill, defense break, heals, area dmg, onehit dmg (for TOD), shes the only character in the game with passive mp regen while standing and starting the game with almost 2 bars of mp
and even tho she got nerfed on classic (they removed her atk buff on 1st job) she is still practically mandatory on TOD, shes just that useful
her "downside" is low mobility, but a skilled arme player can practically negate this if you are good at positioning and whatnot, so basically shes all upsides no downsides
also because she has such a good heal on 2nd job she can solo anything if you have enough stats (and time) to do so

and Ronan is basically arme, but without heal and more mobility
hes just as useful and holy bless +50% atk is reeeeally strong on coordinated teams (especially on TOD and Berkas)
also also his buff on 3rd job is severely underrated on TOD, it literally makes anyone practically invincible for like 10 seconds
he also has area dmg, onehit dmg, his 3rd job 4skill hits like a truck, and he can use erudon to regen partners hp and mp (although not as much hp as 2nd job arme)
just dont be a scrub using his 2nd job, it just sucks, stick to Aegis Knight for almost everything and use 1st job just for the buffs now and again

Ryan is probably tied with Amy for the worst character in the game in terms of dmg (now that dio got buffed) BUT he has ress so he is reeeeeeally strong on TOD, if you have a ryan just on the corner spamming ress the dungeon is basically a joke
Lass is basically Ronan but with no utility and hits harder, he has area dmg, onehit dmg on 1st job 2skill and 4th job 4skill
Ley is basically lass but focusing more on area dmg and hits a lil bit harder (with the summons), also her dash makes her invulnerable and is basically a dodge everytime you >>, because of that you can easily solo TOD floor 5 and farm scrolls on your own, you can do it with other characters but shes wayyy easier, and tbh she's a little harder to play in general than most characters because her movement is nothing like the others, but if you get used to it its really good

I have to disagree with you about Ryan, his 4th job transformation is really strong now, and with a massive MP regen and strong skills.

My top 3 is;

1 - Arme (my main): yes i'm biased since she is my favourite, but she can do so much damage on large bosses as a Battle Mage and heal everyone's HP with one or two cast of Alchemist's 1st skill, it's ridiculous. The only dungeon where Arme is not that good is Harkyon, since most of her strongest skills have multiple hits and trigger his dodge.

2 - Ronan: i mean come on... his 1st and 3rd jobs give so much support, he can heal a little bit, increase everyone's damage by 50% and prevent everyone from taking damage, and he can do a lot of damage as well.

3 - This is where it gets hard to choose... but i have to say Mari. Just summon the turrets, let them fill your MP in seconds and spam like crazy.

I am just going say the first choice for me as I am only focusing on using one character for PvE even though I have them all at max lvl. And generally, she is the only one I enjoy playing most in PvE.

1) Arme - can literally become god and be impervious to most attack (except Gardosen AOE attack in ToD) with fire shield lvl 2 if you have high mp recovery and the boss is rather stationary. Also have high nuking capacities and AOE skills. Even her dash phase is a semi god mode tool if you use it correctly. Have debuffing kits as well. Can heal herself in dungeons that restrict potions like ToD or monster train hell mode, etc.

why arme is not there for me, sadly arme is well how I say it.. she performs well in heavy maps with many mobs (as you can see in berkas where he is huge so is like many) etc. sadly when you are in boss well she decay a lot. yup in WL and event map farming she go below many chars, probably is the only reason that I put mari over arme, cause yup if arme were so good single target as mari she will be top over mari.
