Dying after 30 waves

When playing co op on the first defend the base mission, we get the message "you survived 30 waves blah blah" then I (the host) just keep getting instakilled the second I revive after 30 secs. This goes on for a while until we are both finally dead. What the hell is happening. This is stupid.

Don't wanna necro this thread, but I stumbled upon the same issue, was this ever resolved?

My coop partner gets the message "Partner revived" every 30 seconds, but. I stay dead as host.
