Arena vs main game?

Hi,
whats the difference between this two versions?
One is normal paid game, other is free, but gameplay wise and content in terms of maps etc. is almost identical?
I really like Arena and consider buying full game, but as long as I noticed Ill be able to play few classes more and thats it?

Legion rising has a roguelike 'campaign' where you go through 4 floors with a boss fight and 4 rooms each, its randomized with semi procedual environments and extremely replayable in comparison with arena.

Legion runs last far longer and you can get extremely powerful, but also start slower and plays more tactically.

In legion you can also find legendary items and weapons and there are more in general.
You find items and weapons randomly in chests and other things.
There are also different game modifiers, research and a lot of other stuff.
You have more character loadout options and slots (3 items, 2 modules).
Legion is really the main game.

You can also buy the premium for arena to play arena mode in legion right? How does that play out, can I co-op with my friends with more slots if they only have the free Arena game when I'm playing Legion or is it a something like a completely different port???

the loadout slots are bound to the legion gamemode, you can play the new classes and use your prestige or challenge bonuses however which you can achieve in Legion. You should also be able to use the prestige shop in arena

The two modes are drastically different. I never quite warmed up to Arena, but the original game will remain in maybe my top 3 of favorite twin-stick shooters alongside probably Helldivers and Alien Swarm.

I'm working To Death these days and don't have time to play much, alas.
