Why can't we play as female Kay and male Yu?

I believe because the devs possibly dislikes the option of a BWWM combination, which is common nowadays shown by hatred for white skinned people and especially men.

I mean, I could be wrong, but I doubt it, because if they brought this update, they could include the BWWM version as well. Alas, only the devs can give us the answer and they are silent.

We currently have no knowledge on why they've not chosen to do such a combination, so any reasons anyone's speculating on are just that - speculation. I am hoping that they do finish off the combinations, though. More options are always nice.

Given what I've seen of dev posts and stuff in the past, I can't imagine there was any malice intended here, though.

We decided not to implement that possibility for a lot of technical reasons, also to keep the complexity down and not offer too many choices, but the main reason is that with inverted personalities Yu and Kay seemed much more stereotyped. They didn’t sound anymore like the modern couple we imagined in the first place. Imagine a woman that likes cooking and who is prudent and a man that likes mechanics and is a hothead? Our original Yu and Kay broke those gender stereotypes and we didn't want to bring them back in the game. For our team, representation and inclusion are fundamental beliefs, for gender, ethnicity, sexual preferences and all forms of inclusion, and have been included from the original design of the game. Playing devils advocate for a minute here... how inclusive is it really though? I mean, you say "For our team, representation and inclusion are fundamental beliefs", yet you EXCLUDED the gender roles described in this post intentionally. Hmmm... doesn't sound so inclusive to me. Really, it sounds like you only included the gender/races/roles you wanted - which is your right as developers, but don't tout some self-righteous nonsense of having fundamental beliefs of inclusion in "all forms" at the same time. Let's be honest, it is a bit insincere in this instance wouldn't you agree? Although, you and your team may be super duper duper duper inclusive of everyone and their mother (or father) (or brother) (or sister)(;p), but in development of this game? Nah... Anyway - have a great day, and yes, I'm including everyone, no matter your gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or anything else, because I am INCLUSIVE OF EVERYONE. =P

Everyone needs to just let the developers do what they want to do without accusing them of some agenda. People complain about censorship and false accusations and how developers should have the freedom to develop the game they envisioned, yet turn around and do the exact same thing when a developer does something they dislike. This is their vision and it may change in the future, it may not. Just don't play if you aren't interested in the game.

"Technical reasons and to keep the complexity down" - yet they went through the trouble of concepting, modelling, rigging, animating and voice acting genderswaps for each of the characters. But when you try to implement those genderswaps as a couple themselves, only then is it too complex; only then does it provide 'too many options'. Sorry but that doesn't seem to add up to me.

In other words, you hate white men, who would love to be in a relationship with a black women? Nice to know, devs. It only shows that your true agenda, because it is okay to have a BMWM combination, but not a BWWM one. Good to know.

That is not true. There is no problem with a interracial couple that is BMWW, but if you include a BWWW and a BMWM homosexual couples and not include a BWWM couple, something is up, especially when you come with such a poor excuse as the devs wrote here. This only shows that these devs have an agenda against white male and won't allow a BWWM combination. If you say "Let them do what they thing they want to do", that is one thing, but when they clearly say:

Why couldn't they just simply include the BWWM combination with the same mindset of the original couple? This is actually a racist move, and yes, you can be racist towards white people, believe it or not.

But anyway, it is sad to get my fears proven with the same pain of a fist into the face.

I have read what they said. I am not a troll, I promise. I am not attacking anyone, I would like to see that option in the game also. Your criticisms are simply unfounded and lack proof or logic. Given that you have repeatedly ignored my actual words and invented racism in my statements, just as you are doing to the words of the developers, I find it questionable that you call me a troll, when it is your behaviour that is most consistent with trolling. Refusing to listen, inventing meaning where it is not present in the words of others, and where I clearly communicated exactly what I was saying, not acknowledging when you were mistaken and wrong, looking anywhere you can to find some imagined agenda against white people. Why can't you just take what people say at face value? Why did you repeatedly accuse ME of racism when what I was saying had NOTHING to do with it?
