Change button icons?

I'm trying to play this with a controller (albeit a third party, wired PS4 one) and when I boot up I have XBox icons. Is there a way to switch this to PS4 icons? My old man brain gets stuck when they tell me press A due to years of playing SNES

Still don't get why developers nowadays spend some much time creating these gigantic worlds with vast stories and then ignore something as simple as; "What Controller does the Player use".
I and my girlfriend both use our PS4 Controllers and both have to get used to the XBox Layout.

We actually implemented specific icons depending on if you're playing with a ps4 gamepad, xbox gamepad or keyboard.

So this is a bug.

Are you guys using official DualShock 4 controllers? Or you guys using DS4windows? A user reported issues with DS4windows and by disabling it, the ps4 gamepad was detected properly and PS4 icons were shown.

Well in my case I'm using the HORI mini PS4 gamepad so if you don't support 3rd party, that's no big deal. I was kind of hoping there was a way to choose the icons.

No DS4 windows either. Just running through Steam

A lot of people using DS4 through DS4Windows, so ability to change icons manually would be perfect.

I appreciate that, but could you throw Nintendo into the mix also? :D

I know Switch Pads on PC are probably a rarity compared to the others but it still does my head in when ABXY are all swapped =(

To my Knowledge I think Fell Seal is about the only game that caters to this, blew me away when I saw the option there

I have a Wireless Xbox One controller, and I am just getting keyboard prompts. Menues don't even work on the controller, only gameplay.

It is supposed to detect the controller and display the right buttons, but it only works for official controllers. When it's a third party controller it display Xbox prompts by default (because it's the most common used controller on steam).
We'll take a note and possibly add the choice of display as an option in a patch. Thanks for the report.

same here. i tried with and without DS4Windows.

same here, steam detects it as ps4 controller and i can have full customization on lights and stuff, xbox prompts sadly :(

I can't use my ps4 controller with ps4 icons because this game doesn't work with my ps4 controller apparently...

I have to enable ps4 support, which results in xbox icons in game.

The game does not detect my ps4 controller without ps4 controller in steam controller settings enabled.
I don't what you can do to fix this but I do know if you provided a swappable scheme in the options then it wouldn't matter anymore.

OK, I have tried without the software and this time I had the PS4 buttons displayed. Really weird. Hope stays like this whenever I play it.

im having the same problem, not using any 3rd party programs, just the controller, i tried playing with it hooked directly and via wireless dongle, same result, it gives me xbox icons, not ps4 ones :( please help!
