Foundry feels very early development but unlike satisfactory you can shape your world and dig tunnels or blow them up :) and the land stays that way unlike satisfactory where you remove a tree and its back when you reload the game (though the middle of your base).
I cant think of anything else that's different but i am sure someone else can add more :)
Spline based conveyors and pipes.
This game is very grid based. So, it’s 90 degree hard turns. If you want to go at an odd angle, you can’t.
Conveyors need a ramp version to go up or down, where in Satisfactory, you can just place the thing anywhere.
Something that may bug you is that you have to have an item made to place it, in your inventory, instead of just the parts.
Need 1km of conveyor belts? Make 1000 belts….
Foundry lets you shape the world your liking, just like Minecraft.
It has modular buildings you can customize, though it’s honestly kinda lacking, but it is fun to watch the drones building the thing.
You can make a robot assembly line, to sell said robots.
Satisfactory doesn't have (and may never have) renewable power, so you have to build out a coal or nuclear power system. However, because ore never runs out, this isn't that big an issue. Foundry has solar power and batteries. Of course, solar power requires a ton of space. I think my solar facilities take up almost as much space as the rest of my factory (~410MW).
Satisfactory, Factorio, and Dyson Sphere Program (also worth checking out) have a lot more ways to monitor the status of your factory. I think I like DSP's graphs the best, although Factorio's are also quite good IIRC. Currently, Foundry only has graphs that show you how much of a particular end-game item you're producing. This graph can serve as a proxy for the health of part of your factory. I haven't looked at the Foundry roadmap in a while, maybe this will be improved in the future.
Satisfactory, Factorio, and DSP have blueprints, which makes expanding and modifying your factory a lot easier. Foundry doesn't have them (yet).
You can move liquids in Satisfactory and Factorio by packaging and unpackaging them into solids. In DSP you can use conveyors for liquids and solids. In Foundry, liquids can only be moved using pipes (for now).
And 1.0 is adding more geysers for them, and relaxing the build and unlock reqs
Also, unlike Satisfactory, it has fully destructible and procedurally generated map, which means that no two playtroughs will be the same (unless you use same seed). It also means you can't just google best factory layouts like you can in Satisfactory and instead you need to actually be smart.
