Paradox launcher? Nah thanks, I will just play the game...
Add this to steam launch options and enjoy. Also you can uninstall the launcher and delete it's install file which steam left in foundry folder.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FOUNDRY\Foundry.exe" %command%

Edit 1: method for Linux Proton figured out by @mo ;4362376160464282956 :

eval $( echo "%command%" | sed s#dowser.exe#Foundry.exe#)

Edit 2: added by @dave ;4361250551849451008 : fyi, if you liked the "Resume" feature of the launcher but want to bypass the launcher, change your launch options as described above and add --continuelastsave between the .exe and %command%. For example:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FOUNDRY\Foundry.exe" --continuelastsave %command%

That's cherry on the top but added to OP anyway.

Just seeing one makes me want to play anything else. Every game that has them, there are hundred's of thousands of angry voices in every forum. A launcher does not make your game look polished or more professional, it just shows me your don't care about anything but your publishers demands.

That's not how it works when you are on a publisher's payroll. You may tell the publisher that this or that won't be well received, but the choice is on the publisher's side.

I bought Red Dead 2 on epic for full price and never got to play it since I couldn't get past their launcher demanding I create an account. Absolute scam artists.

Anyway, fully uninstalling Paradox launcher doesn't seem to do any harm. I can confirm the game still starts fine.

Normally would agree with you, but the launcher paradox uses is actually usefull. If you own several paradox games it automatically log you in, that is my experience at least. It lets you load directly from the launcher. It lets you manage your mods for at least one game, Stellaris before launching the game. Would be strange if they haven't added mod management for the other games like CK and EU.

That's all pros which are indeed true. But it's just one side of the coin. I can think about the same amount of cons which even if they are subjective are enough to not touch the launcher. Will just repeat...this thread is about giving fellow players choice. Not to tell them what they should or not use.

Foundry logs you in with or without the launcher (it's not even installed) and I actually haven't found an option to disable this behavior in the settings. -_-

So, the only benefit is some official mod-manager functionality, I suppose. And for Steam users that's only because they don't want to use existing functionality on Steam.

Log to which account? Steam? Paradox?

Paradox. Look in the bottom-right corner on the menu screen.

I don't own Foundry right now, so I can't run the game to find out. Thank you for your answer, though!

The only issue I have with this kind of thing is that it takes an extra click to launch the game and I'm lazy (and too lazy to make a workaround myself). It's good that there are people like you who are much more bothered by it to make a workaround for the likes of me.

Don't wanna one extra click outside the game bcause you need to click several thousand times inside the game...I understand that! :D

Besides that don't wanna another completely unnecessary application running in the background and consuming system resources for no reason while playing the game and even while not playing it if you so happen to forget to close it afterward. I mean, I may run the entire collection of launchers in the background, but every single one of them tends to bring their own copy of Chromium running in the background. Steam has one, Epic has one, Ubi has one, EA has one, and everyone has a copy and runs in the background. Dunno about this launcher and don't want to check.

I think the launcher shuts down itself after launching the game. Or maybe just minimize to tray. I'm not sure cause used the bypass right away and then wrote this thread :D

Btw your account sure is not a common one. I just hope it's used by several people bcause it would take unhealthy amount time for one person. Also keep that password real strong :D
