Is this worth the download?

I do enjoy these types of games but I was wondering if this is even worth getting into if you already own games like djmax and stepmania? How are the songs done in this game? Am I able to use my own playlists or does this game use its own set of songs? Is there controller support? I have a dancepad that I use for stepmania and would love a second game to actually want to use it on.

This game has user-generated content for songs (and gameplay skins). There isn't controller support (yet; I imagine it will be implemented at some point), but I've been using Joy2Key to use a beatmania IIDX controller.
You do not want to use a dance pad to play this game, because the charts are designed for keyboard or similar input methods.

If you're aware of osu!, this game is structured extremely similarly.

Not saying I am opposed to trying it, I was just simply asking the community if they felt it was worth it when said games were already being played

can you send the joy2key script? im kinda lazy and dont care about the game enough to map myself. also i wonder if there's lag?
