crashes on "unreal engine" launch when Discord is running ?!

Try running Discord as Administrator its a file permission error

discord always is due to other games - turned it off, it ran fine for a while, then when i launched discord it crashed again

seems to be a issue as i just tried playing again constant crashing when i had discord running. didnt matter if in admin or not would crash. runs when discord is not running strange

seems to be something to do with the Discord "what game are you playing" applet, as its flashing to that screen after crash and doesnt normally show that at all

going into steam directory and setting the game .EXE to "run as admin" fixes it for now , otherwise no

Currently the only fix we know of right now to fix the Discord silent crash is to set the CP exe to run as administrator. We are aware of the issue and we need to investigate our Discord plugin further to determine what is going on exactly.

it is a bug within our Discord plugin that was given to us from Discord that only seems to occur based on how it communicates on computers with different permission levels they didn't expect

Anyone having this issue feel free to add me on steam (post reason why on my profile) we need a lot more data to determine what is going on. Otherwise we can't fix it without those having the issue willing to come forward possibly do a share screen on discord to figure out what exactly is going on.

Game aggressively wants discord to be active during start up. Will experience a ctd error intermittently if game is booted while discord is not active on launch, and also attempts to launch the discord app during its startup sequence independently of user interaction.

This error occurs before the early access disclaimer splash is loaded.

Issue not able to be reliably reproduced, but will occur repeatedly until discord is allowed to be active, then non reproducable for remainder of computer session uptime.
