Where to start?

I like the look of this game and want to learn how to play, but all i seem to do is make a squad and they go off and die, even on custom games where i've set things to be best for me. Is there a real tutorial coming or a small starting map?

Horde mode can give you some time to fool around with moving squads around. Not going to help with big questions like where to hole up or raid. But you can practice fundamentals like how zombies and soldiers react to assault made barbed wire mazes.

This game was way too easy, at least for me, i blocked off the patient 0 in the island she started at and then took the whole map, made 3 squads and moving 1 while other 2 were covering the moving one. Vehicles are good as movable turrets but making a convoy to go into the city and clear is not working due to the path finding being what it is. Just make sure the squads u make have a diversity of soldiers and upgraded weapons.

Thanks, I'll try. The fact I didnt know I could upgrade weapons is probably a good indication I need to go back and re-read everything

Just keep trying things on a custom game to get used to the controls and figure out an efficient path to build. losing can also be fun!

ey dude, you can upgrade weapons of units by bringing them in the perimeter of the building (this is also the range where they refill their ammo/fuel if needed) and you'll see their weapons lighting up, click the weapon they currently hold and click Market if you wanna buy something, inventory if you have any extras lying around. RPS = rounds per second, i think. Mag is how many bullets they hold before they need to reload, max capacity of a certain weapon only shows up after buying, so be careful having only one type of weapon!
I find that Heavies to be the best for pushing towards points, even with their default weapon, but they are a bit more expensive than assaults as well.
