Space Haven

Space Haven

Sound mod?
We used to be able to edit sounds easily. It seems with the most recent update, The C:\SpaceHaven\library\sound\mp3 folder structure seems to have changed. This address is no more.

So, how do we edit sounds? I need to get rid of those pesky gunshot sounds ASAP!

I have same issue. Before official launcher option for play with mods I used Mod Loader and it unpacked library folder with haven file that I modded and also to sound folder under mp3 and ogg I just copy pasted by own sounds that I created as a replacement.

It worked back then.

Now Mod Loader unpacks same data and put it in "mods" folder. But for my tweaks in haven this time around I created separated folder with name of my mod where I put library folder and in it haven file which works and changes in game work. So I thought that for sound changes I need to add to my mod folder into library folder the "sound" folder and in it mp3 and ogg folders with my own sounds. But game does not use this!

So I tried to swap the files directly in the folder that was unpacked by Mod Loader (mods) in exact place where sounds should be and I confirmed that I want to overwrite existing files.
This also did not work!

So how the hell we suppose to mod sound in 1.0 version with officially attached Mod Loader from Workshop?!?!?!
doesn't modloader as it inline compiles the aspjectj injection bits, be they downloaded or subscribed from workshop, merge the game and the mods into one .jar still? under mods\modloader\, the quicklaunch_(32bit_number).jar, and that's what it's actually launching? check there, and if so, extract that .jar and I bet you get the library\music and library\sounds ogg and mp3 directories populated, and can swap out sounds in a modded game, just replacing the files with 7zip or whatever archiver you prefer. unless things drastically changed.

wait, you specifically did like '7z a spacehaven.jar library\sound\mp3\weapon_laser_fire.mp3' and it said overwrite, you said yes, and still the original sound plays?! how is that possible?! you replaced the data.

it works fine here. https://cdn.steamusercontent.com/ugc/17252420866421089004/41511BE90E91376360BCF7406A9A21C689F81803/
