Why are there not many mods?

Saw the game is on sale. I have been thinking about getting it. One thing that kind of surprised me is that the workshop doesn't have that much in it. I thought there'd be tons of different mods for a game like this. Like a 40k mod, star wars mod, mods for different objects, different items, tuning rates for various things -- why is there not much modding going on?

Vacations are the #1 offender. I'm working on some mods but hey it's just me. There is plenty to get you occupied for a while though.

uhh, because it's only been a thing since the end of May? and the game didn't go to released state, out of Early Access, til two weeks after that point?

your perception of time is warped, yeah it's been around a good long while, but not in a state where mod creators felt like tackling things, and workshop mode to make it simple for non-technical types to get them.

even though many people have been here for years, you're still technically "at the beginning" !! :-) grab it next time you see it on sale, it's quite fun if you like micromanagement games, and if not? just refund it before the 2 hr point. but you probably will like it.

Hello! Oh so modding is a fairly new thing for the game. I wasn't aware of that. Hmm. To be honest, it really does look like the type of game I would enjoy. I'll put it back on my wish list and pick it up next time. Thank you for the response!
