[Beta 2] Does every "building" need its own hull stabilizer?
I built one hull stabilizer for the "station" in the starter section provided. I then built a separate "building" for dining (connected only by power cable). Had a "micrometeoroid" event and the second building outer wall blew out one segment.

Granted, I don't generally build a lot of stations ... so I can only speak from "ship" experience ... but I've NEVER seen a full-blown hull breach from a micrometeoroid or even an asteroid impact (only micro-breaches).

Yes, if not connected by hull it is seen as separate. There are power networks and hull networks. The power can be connected from one hull area to another but the hull stability cannot.

So that would explain the immediate hull breach since hull stability is not there.
Thanks for that reply, i was waiting for it as well.
Fair enough. However that presents two minor dilemmas:

1) That makes the hull stability bar a little misleading as there's ONE bar for the station. It looks like I have good hull HP when, in fact, entire sections are unstable.

2) The "Abandoned Mining Station" scenario doesn't have hull stabilizers in each section. That's either (a) cheating, (b) inconsistent, or (c) a real problem.
