Deliver the Cargo Mission Problem

I have a Cargo Port built, the AI station has one. I accepted a cargo transfer mission, but then failed almost immediately. What am I missing? I thought there was a cargo shuttle you were supposed to build, but the Cargo Port doesn't give me the option to build one like a shuttle hangar does.

There's actually no building of the Cargo Shuttles, the factions provide them either by building one and sending it over to you, or some missions have as an objective to rendezvous with a cargo ship somewhere and escort it to the location.

Not sure why it failed immediately, my guess would really be just time running out from the objective step.

Let me know if it happens again, will keep an eye out for more reports.

It is the running out of time. You only have 5 hours for the mission and it could take that long just to jump to the target sector. I failed once due to the MA stopping me for inspection after I took the transfer cargo mission. Would work out better if more than 5 hrs, like 1 day to complete the mission.

As Aksel wrote in another thread: "The blue message at the top right also has an activate message for receiving the cargo shuttle"

It's not obvious and I've had the same problem and wasn't sure what to do.
