Crash at Loading Saved Game

Last night 03-03-25. Started a new game, played for a few hours and saved. This is what happens when I try to load it a few hours later

Are you able to zip up the saved game folder and send it to: [e-mail]

The saved game folder can be found in: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\SpaceHaven\savegames

On its way my email is the same as my screen name. The glitch happened after your last update a few days ago. I was playing on the unstable version just fine and upgraded to the stable version. Tried to uninstall and reinstall with the same glitch. I had just perfected my ship hull design too!

So I think I figured out the bug trigger. I would use a hyphen in the name like John-Luke or Capt. Pike Cara "Starbuck" in the names.... that so far seems to be triggering the bug

SOLVED: Can not use quotes in the name! Went through the save game file and removed names I used " " in. I realized it caused an error when exploring the saved game file.

Oh, interesting! So you mean crew member names had those " "? Good find!

Correct, I could use a hyphen but no quotations in the name " "

Hi!

Tried adding " " in name of character but the game removes them after trying to save the name.

Was there anything special about how you got " " in the names? Was simply editing char name in the game or through save edit? Or do you have some keyboard other than English?

Ahh, found it. It is when starting a new game and adding " " and clicking start game. Thanks for reporting! =)
