You can see the clusters when you zoom out to the max in the starmap, the nodes are clusters.
There is no need to restart most likely, just keep going until a cluster is actually traversed from. =)
I clearly traveled between clusters, not just locations in the same system, but to a whole new system with a different star. It also didn't go away.
Wonder how long before I'm out of energia and hypergia or whatever they're called.
One needs to travel to a new node in the highest zoom level in the starmap. The description "A new system with a star" is not a star system cluster, it is a star system. Each star system has sectors around a star.
A star system cluster is comprised of some 3-5 star systems. And they are shown as nodes when going to starmap and zooming out as much as possible.
The hyperlanes in question are the "interstellar" hyperlanes, the ones where it warns you to use hypersleep chambers or else there will be "effects" (although it doesn't really say what kind of effects, again I had to find it in the forums that it's just nausea -- they all puke and then are woozy for half a day or so. But they clean the puke up, so yay.
When I traveled from Taurus to Radiance the note went away.
It's not really made clear though what it is talking about, the fact that there are two different kinds of hyperlanes is confusing.
Once you've played the game a little bit the concept of clusters is pretty straight-forward. First time playing though, it isn't intuitive what a cluster hyperlane is. I think changing the wording could help a lot of newbies.
It could be that you did not yet travel between star system clusters, only between star systems. A star system cluster is a few of the star systems close to each other.
So it is not enough to jump to another star system. Have to use a hyperline between clusters and that's the goal of the objective.
Basically, it will eventually trigger when just exploring the starmap.
