You need to start building a small hull space, an airlock, and then a "Asteroid cargo port". Once these are in place the mission message in the upper right corner can be opened, and then give an order for the cargo shuttle to move over to the asteroid cargo port. Once it has landed it can then be selected and resources can be released.
and than i realized i need the asteroid cargo port for it^^
really like the game so far :)
Yeah, we will tweak the text for the next update. Glad you like the game! =)
No. Both work:) You can build the cargo port and/or the asteroid port. Both work.
The difference is what is required.
For cargo port, you will need to build the hull of a 5x5(for airlock) and if i recall well at least a 4*8 hull to place the cargo port.
For the asteroid port you again need a 5x5 tile for the airlock(as there you will have inside a 3x3 empty slot which is required for the airlock to be placed) and also maybe 6 additional hull blocks for the space station door and then build the asteroid port.
Personally i dont care anymore i usually build both as is a good way to sink a lot of excess resources:) Also if you add multiple additional things you can get some money bonus and extra reputation. I regularly get extra 1000 credits and 5 reputation bonus usually.
However currently the building missions are seriously underpriced. I would say about 8000 credits should be at least the reward to be rewarding. (You can get "rescue missions" or free slave missions that give you 1500 credits, or reward items that are about 2500 credits on average price)
Claim the asteroid first. Then use the edit object and build there a 5x5 hull, on a part that has at least on one side if i recall well 6x6 space. (The airlock can be built on hull tiles, and it needs to face someplace where there is NO "asteroid field", hull field, basicly anything in the way.)
Once you did this, you can extend the hull of the base any way you want(within the border) and place down the cargo port or asteroid port, click on the "build base" blue mission text to release cargo, and start using the resources the other ship brought.
If you are doing a base building mission i would suggest ANYONE to save first before starting the building, so if they run out of time, mismanage or something other obstructs them they can load it back and correct it.
Normally, the resources for the airlock will be placed on the shuttle platform, and they will take them from there and bring it to the airlock site.
It seems buggy though: In my current game i just had the situation that nothing happened to the airlock site and it wouldn't be built. I had to move the site blueprint one tile further and then it would be finally built. Maybe it can't be placed directly next to a wall? I'm not sure exactly, but try to place it somewhere else.
There is a rare occurance where if you place the airlock next to the hull wall, where the wall is basicly the "edge" or limit of the building space the "docking ramp" cannot be placed by the shuttle. So the resources and the building crew cannot be transported to the building site. It requires a unique layout of an asteroid and bad placing. So the occurance of this is low, but it can happen.
