Yellow setting means "always demand". Someone will try to use the console as their full time job, even if there's nothing to do. Beware that there is no such thing as a "shift change request". Once the guy at the console says they give up and walks away, you have to wait for someone new to respond to the console demand and that can take hours.
Red demand means "drafted demand". They will use the console, even if it makes them sick. There is no "shift change" so if they die at the console, once again you have to wait for someone else to respond.
Don't worry about it:)
