Can't find the button to issue a battlestation to the crewmember
Hi all,

i can't find the button to set a battlestation to the crewmember. The description on the battlestations alarm button says "you can set a battlestation position for a crew member by selecting them", but i can't see how.

Tried it without battlestation alarm and with it, with drafting or just their 3 submenus... I can't see any function for it.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Battlestations means that basicly when you click on it, the people who have operations, navigation, shield or weapon console added to their work priorities will rush to man those consoles:)
I think you overthought it.
Thanks.... I finally found it... actually it's quite obvious once you activated battlestations

I never used the battlestations feature, but I always thought that there is a way to setup a combat station for each crewmember - some reload shields, some guard the enterance, some man consoles .... I was wrong?

Personally, i think it would become handy if you are going to be boarded, so by clicking the button the people would run to the defense position at the airlock. However, it's not really very reliable as it seems. They walk near the position, but not exactly where i clicked (i.e. behind the cover i created). Might still become handy if you have more people, but It's not what i had hoped for... Have to experiment a bit more with it

Oh...yeah never used that:D
Battlestations is for folks to man the console's afaik:)
If it has uses to arrange defensive positions like in another game...well cool, but i will always manually assign my people who are available.
(Just started to build my new ship. New design too! WIll see how bad it will be:D)

What is annoying is those cultists that always escape. I have to evade, drop and jump again constantly cuz of them. And i did not even leave the friggin starter cluster.
But that one cultist ship being in the number one system where the farm station is is VERY VERY VERY annoying:)

edit: ah now i remember, neat trick.
If you build 2 research stations while you still have just one researches, then the researcher will do 2*3 research points before going to the break room, and going back to continue. If you have 2 researchers with t2 research stations it is possible that they each finish at the same time, or their breaks do not overlap, thus allowing you to use this trick for 2 researchers. So you can double or quadrapule your research speed!

They also get in proximity of any critical system like the hyperdrives, shields generators and they will fix them asap.
You can also customize each crew member area when it is ON.

I usually set my defense team that way and I just have to select them all and draft them when they are all in the zone.
