I assume that you left all the options on relations activated when starting the game.
That only works in real life.... and tends to end up in a messy relationship LOL
That tends to backfire quite heavily once you wake up in the morning and get a CLEAR VIEW of the situation 😁.
haha, believe me I know that well from experience LOL
Would be hilarious to see Peons in this game have drunken one night stands, and get the "awkward" debuff afterwords LOL. Or worse yet, the STI debuff that requires a doctor to treat it...
On second thought that might upgrade this game to x-rated instead of PG13 LOL
Such drunk parties will propably lead to a lot of Love break ups the next day, and propably the "Wimp" trait guys would jump out through airlock without suits. Sad, stupid guys....
Still, back to the topic. Does anybody have any verified method how to help form relationships?
I have my couple in isolation for three weeks now in a fully suited accomodation, yet still no budge. I noticed that she got rejected three times already, so the problem appears to be with the dude here. Hell of a picky d... this one.
Any advice on what his problem can be?
- if it relates somehow: she may have killed a couple of previous prisoners/slaves he befriended earlier.
These values can be edited in the saved game file, under the "<relationships>" section. TargetID is the other character and there are values to edit their current relationship and also compatibility and attractiveness. Positive 100 is max for those.
Thank you for the feedback. When you talk about "potential" you mean that this is already hardcoded in their character definition that we can not see? Is this generated at random, because I had a pre-run with my crew in order to get back into the game after sone time of absence and they fell in love on day 5, I restarted the game once I recalled most mechanics and have the same build of these two and its day 306 and they are still only friends.
Thank you a lot for the option to modify this. I dont like to mod games (feels like cheating) but this is pushing my rp tolerance to the limits si hopefully I will do it corectly. Thank you.
I upped their predispositions to each other, all three to 99.
Run the game and saw how they moved from friends to good friends / later to best friends.
And that was about it, no further improvements.
She made a move - He rejected her
In less than 48 hours he made a move - She rejected him
I saw that they are arguing a lot more than before I "Improved their predispositions". They were arguing a lot less, almost not at all, now they seem to be p** off regularly. I checked the data and saw that their relation was slowly detoriating.
The hell with such good predispositions one would think that they would get along better, not worse...
So I hardprinted into their minds a LOVE status.
- They dont argue for few days now. Checked their datastats and their relations went up.
At this point I dont really care for at least I can force what I think is rational in their situation but maybe you would find these note usefull:
In regards to the two main actors in this relation struggle:
They conducted a lot (almost all) away missions together, defended the ship from boarding almost regularly, he saved her from getting unconscioous from haulers charge at least three times, She patched him countless times from severe wounds. he saved her once from abduction by slavers, She saved him from getting burned alive during industry area fire breakout (not optimised at that time, and we had a pod-originated crewmate going on pyromaniac rage), he saved her from numerous suffocation unconsciousness caused by bad Shuttle logic on derelicts without airlock and self destructing platforms (learned that zest is quite important for working extended hours on derelicts, especialy when shuttle does not come to provide O2).
- One would think they would have built a battleforged/survival life relation by now, but not. WIth this test with the numbers it appears that there is somekind of random factor that completely breaks what I find to be logical developement.
Still its just a personal opinion I dont know what is and what is not counted towards predispositions.
Thank you for the option to brute-force the relation between them.
My girl sends her smiling thank you, for allowing these characters to finaly build the relations they were meant to :-D - yep, those two were meant to represent us :-P. We are basicaly playing a coop with her constantly checking on my relations :-). Now she is very happy and its gonna be a good day today for me too :-D. Thank a lot
Maybe 100 is required?
I dont think so as she tried to hit on him even with 43 friendship, 86 attractivity, dont remember the third but it was of low value. And HE rejected her - thats so bad word for it: rejected... like for a broken toy or something..
