The base was in that smaller "satellite" system.
So the marker doesn't necessarily mean it's in that exact system, but "thereabouts", somewhere in that vicinity.
Which does make a bit of sense. why would the military or whoever send you to look for something if they already knew where it was? They only have a vague idea where it is.
I think they should make the different lanes more distinguished, by color maybe.
Was about to say that:) The remember might be additional non interstellar travel reachable systems nearby.
