Report a translation problem
Hope this helps. =)
Thank you - I found out what the problem was: A translation error.
I'm playing with the German language activated and instead of 'Entladen' = 'unload (the cargo)' the button in the resources screen sais 'Abdocken' = 'undock (the ship)'. So I didn't use it and the command wasn't confirmed.
• Snap points on the object, when a power conduit section is selected for placement.
(After placing the Cargo Part, we see a 'no power' lightning bolt icon, over the middle tile of the shelf where Parts are delivered on the Asteroid Cargo Port. I thought since my attention is being called to this area on the cargo part object, this was where I should start placing power conduit sections. No: conduit parts won't place 'on' the cargo port, but on the ground around any side of it.)
Perhaps indicate the valid tiles around the base and cargo part which would make good conduit connection points. And / Or, the selected conduit section (mouse cursor) could make some kind of visual feedback when hovering over a tile that would make a valid electrical connection.
• Add a glow around a successfully placed conduit section, and then blink / remove the glow as feedback, once a valid connection is made between A and B.
(Right now a player can start placing conduit sections from the base hull or cargo part - with no feedback that they are doing it correctly.)
• Consider adding procedural conduit supports beneath conduit sections that are over currently invalid, uneven asteroid surface features.
(Players can start building hull and place the cargo port almost anywhere, on geography that might not be ideal for a power conduit between A and B. How much is too much deconstructing / reconstructing of the base, in order to work around uneven surfaces?)
I like the look of physically connected base pieces, but the wireless Power Node concept would be more developer-friendly than this suggestion :)
Ahh, indeed. Used the same "RELEASE" text used elsewhere by mistake, giving the wrong context in this particular situation. Will fix it for the next update of the game.
