Fuel to Hyperjump ratio?
So I read that you can still jump when your ship is overweight but it increases fuel use more than having an additional hyperdrive. Thing is when I added a second one the Fuel to Hyperjump ratio went up and recently when I expanded my ship and made it heavier, the number went down.

Is this value backwards? Is a higher number better?

From my experience - higher number the better. Usually I just add more engines when start to have problems with fuel.

I don't understand the number. I figured at first that lower number is better. Nope higher is better. I recommend just to not be over weight. In most cases you should be able to make enough engines. At least do your best so you don't run out of fuel. With plenty of fuel you can stop wherever you want to get whatever resources you need.

Yeah, it sounds like it should be Jump-to-Fuel, not Fuel-to-Jump. Although I haven't been really keeping track of how much fuel I'm actually using.

Yeah fuel is weird. I'm not even sure if your engines spend fuel per lane travel or per jump - as in if you have 10 jumps per fuel blob, can you do 1x10, 5x2, 10x1, or is it 1 fuel every time you jump and it's up to you to use it for 10 jumps or just one.

Either way, build 6-8 engines for a 2x2 ship and forget about it forever. Just make sure you keep 10+ fuel blobs at all times (I managed to end the game with 200+).
