How to remove alien mess in ship?

I just claimed a new ship and the floor is covered in that veiny mess that you get on infested ships. I can't see any option to remove it and it seems the crew don't clear it up as part of routine maintenance. Is there any way to actually remove it?

Hum well. Possibly maintenance isn't on.

Select your ship. There should be a few tabs on the bottom left. There is a tab there called "Settings". Click on it. Then, "Auto Maintenance". Your guys should clean it.

If that's not it, then maybe it's a alien corpse => in that case build a Authopsy table to make it into meat.

If it's not either of those, then I don't know.

Zoom out at max.
Left click on your ship.
At bottom screen, select "eject things" (don't know the exact words).
Zoom in.
Left click on the body or piece of alien you want to dump.
Accept.

And just look at the meat flying through space.

This isn't about getting rid of the bodies, it's all the veiny stuff that goes over the floor and walls of ships they have infested. I have claimed one but that stuff isn't removed.

Look for an alien strutcture on a wall. After removed, the floor will be cleaned.

havent claimed any ships with the alien stuff on it yet....

maybe deconstruct the hull pieces with the stuff on it, if you cant figure any other way to remove it?

yeah mostly you've missed an hatched egg corpse or something on the wall, ether needs to be dealt with befor the vines tend to despawn.
the egg corpse needs to be shot, while the wall stuff normally disapear but just shot teh wall and then it'll go away. And that should be the start of the vines dieing

As best bullet target said, there'll be something you missed.

It'll probably be a wall growth, it looks different from the rest of the infected walls as it'll have a red pulsating blob. Once you've dismantled that, all the growth on the walls and floors will instantly disappear.

I agree with Nomis and Totta's advice.

I ran into the same situation yesterday. There was a growth on the wall that you have to manually remove. Once its been removed, the rest of the "vines" wither away.
