Thank you for joining us for the launch of STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town! We can't wait for you to start your new life on the farm!

I just wanted to start a central support thread to gather any issues y'all are experiencing. Post as many details as you can here so we can better investigate on our end!

Useful debug information:

• DxDiag output as a .txt file
  
• Steps to reproduce the issue
  
• Screenshot of in-game settings and launcher settings
  
• Crash dump files
  Often located here %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps
  It would be from "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe"

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • "STORY OF SEASONS Friends of Mineral Town.exe" is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

Updates

The new patch has a fix for users crashing on launch because their CPU are not capable of using AVX. Please check the patch notes for full details:

For those experiencing missing text on screens such as the medal wagering menu for the derbies, please make sure your PC is using the correct regional settings for your language. Here is how to check:

1) Go to your Control Panel
2) Select "Region" or click "Change date, time, or number formats"
3) Click "Administrative"
4) Click "Change System Locale"
5) Select your system locale in the drop-down list.

You will have to restart your PC to apply these settings. If you need additional assistance to find this setting, please email [e-mail]

After updated the recent patch, when I throw an egg to the onsen, the game was quit by itself every time (No error messages).

I also got this for a few times. But after a few game restarts, I decided to throw 1 egg and wait for it to be picked up then throw another egg and voila, no more crashes. Maybe you throw more than 1 egg to the Hot Spring in a too quick succession? The game would freeze up if there is more than 1 egg in the Hot Spring I guess.

My Windows 10 updated overnight, and now I'm getting a persistent lag in game. There are no issues with features or game play, but the movement and clock are extremely slow, especially in the farm and forest where there's a lot of stuff on the screen.

Can someone fix the blocking of the horse? When I ride it into town and jump off to go into the house, most of the time I either get block by the horse so I can't move pass the horse on the town road or I jump off on the wrong side and stuck between the horse and the side of the road which cause me to can't move unless I jump back on the horse and move somewhere else.

Also sometime I literally run against the horse to make sure before using the brush on it but a lot of time it still register as me using the brush on empty air.

Can the game dev make the horse hitbox a little smaller or less weird?

Oh! While we still on the weird hitbox topic, the fruit tree hitbox also a bit odd as well. We all get the grape tree in the farm for free, right? So I brought an apple tree then an orange tree as the 3rd tree on the farm. The problem is my orange tree chat window is kinda weird. It only have this one tiny spot at the front for you to chat and pick up honey. The tree can block my path as normal since I can run into it but I want the chat hitbox for it to be larger. I mean, my grape and apple tree are fine when I talk to it from most angle but this orange tree only have this one spot. Please fix.

There seems to be a bit of lag or frame rate drops while playing. I updated my nvidia graphics card yesterday and it seemed to fix it, but when I went to play today, the lag came back. I'm unsure if the recent updates caused this since I haven't played in a month until recently, but I did not have these issues when I was playing a month ago so I'm fairly certain it isn't my pc that is the issue

Talking to Aqua is bugged, the option to talk to them is there, but clicking and moving around in different places to try to talk to them is almost impossible.

Ive tried gifting, not gifting, all sorts of things, but the majority of the time it doesnt work to speak to them.

Bug Report.
For Marie black heart event when looking for Book, if your inventory doesn't have free space the game will exit itself. Maybe need restriction to not start the event when your inventory full.

Not a glitch. That's how it was in the GBA version as well.

Agreed that the hitbox of the adult horse is a problem. Same with adult cows. From what I can tell, rather than use a rectangle hitbox that matches the shape of their bodies, they both use squares. 50% of the time I get stuck inside my horse's hitbox on dismount, and I often get 'trapped' in my barn by my cows despite the path seeming 'clear'. The horse is also so wide that I cannot get past them if they decide to follow me onto the beach dock or into the town roads.

In the GBA game pushing your cows was necessary because you have to shove them in/out of the barn. In this game that's not necessary, so why not remove/minimize the hitboxes on the cows/horse?

It's not gamebreaking but it's damn frustrating

I found this bug where the crops are not watered even though it is raining. Summer 30 i left my crops as is and Autumn 1 is a rainy day. When I had to remove the wilted crops, it wasnt watered at all but it is raining. What should I do?

heyy i was download a mineral town an hour ago and when i launch it, the game doesnt fix on the screen it appear in right bottom side, can you fix the bug please?
