Also, you need to employ good strategy/tactics.
It might seem counter-intuitive, but sometimes, the best method to winning is not to field monsters for example, depending on the composition of the team you're facing against.
Agreed.
Game is quite easy right now with a good strategy. I've been crushing the game with Slaveholder Morale builds.
Traps, spells and dungeon events are way stronger than your monsters. You should try skipping the first battle, let the heroes go in traps/spells/event rooms and then put monsters in the 2nd or 3rd monster room, that way you'll prevent heroes from regenarating morale/health or clearing DoTs thanks to their skills triggering when killing a monster/wining a fight.
Becuse then there is no need for a room 1 battle.
It is absolutely true https://youtu.be/cO8fHEbHkGs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnMLKLtsf5s
Im at year 2 and my master still has 0/300 xp!
You only level up when you die.
It's not a bed mechanic.
It just forces players to think when and when not to field units.
Also there are times when I need the extra buffer, so I allocate fast, level 1 units to damage enemies in the 1st room. Again, it's part of the overall strategy rather than just simply filling the room with whoever's available.
Oh! ok thank you :)
I have a little worry about it, because it makes me feel i'm the engineer, except when I use morale layouts.
I mean, it's not a big problem though. emptying room 1 is about strategy, it's good.
