locked out of 100% Octopia DLC

i never encountered the 3 boys before i build the road to the sea and got the last fishing pole upgrade. i think this is what locked me out of the 3 boys visiting because now i'm only cycled through the 3 fishermen. they give me the final ingredient, so i'm stuck at 99% and have no way of getting the last recipe or the harvest trophy.
this is just a bug I've encountered, and i believe some others have as well.

Also seem to be stuck with this. Only getting the 3 fisherman visitors on repeat. Missed the 3 boys and the last 2 visitors in the list and missing pineapple and the 2 pineapple recipes.

There has been a patch update with a fix for those NPCs.
Looking forward to see if i can meet the kids as well. From playing a bit today, I've finally met other NPCs than the fishermen.

EDIT
I can confirm that I was able to meet with the three kids after doing a final recipe for Alva & Isabel, which requires you interact with a fruit tree in their house.
