Weird Fullscreen Slowdown Issue

I adore the game so far, but I did have one minor issue with the demo.

I cannot play the game in fullscreen mode. When it runs in fullscreen, the game runs at half speed as if it is lagging. When entering locations like Jonny's Shop or the Hunter's Hut, the slowdown stops. This slowdown persisted in the town and in the forest.

However, if I put the game in windowed mode, it runs just fine with no slowdown. I'd greatly prefer playing the game in fullscreen rather than windowed mode.

The framerate was locked to 30 fps, with low temperatures for the CPU and GPU, but the game characters and dialogues were really slow, to the point it seemed the game was lagging. Playing in slow-motion hindered the enjoyment of the game.
