In the last few years, apparently some of the LGM staff were involved with games like Patron and Aquatico in some capacity in a bid to help get things back off the ground. I haven't seen much chatter about either of those games though and neither seem to have sold exceptionally well (despite getting decent reviews) so it's hard to know how far that took them.
Anyway, if they still want to, I hope they eventually bounce back well enough to take another stab at the Warlords formula but in the meantime, as far as this game is concerned, I'd be very surprised if it got any further attention.
I loved Warlords, and I think I can speak for most of the SPG fanbase when I say that a Warlords 2 would definitely sell. I hope LGM is able to make an eventual return to the genre.
