There are no reports on the game on protondb. Is anyone playing this game in Linux via Proton?

Man I was just looking for info on this. Ready to pick it up but I don't want to have to immediately refund if it doesn't work out.

Tried with Proton 4.11-11 and previous version but the game closes after first loading.

Heya barab4, and thx for reporting in :)

Looking at your log.txt file, the game stops when tries to read a .wav file, so it is either missing or corrupted for somereason.

Your sound device is normally created so it is not a problem.

Can you pls verify your game files to remove the "corrupted or missing" issue out ofr the picture, myb the game didn't download properly or fully from Steam, sometimes it happens.

If it still doesn't work, we would definitely appreciate if you could send us your new log.txt file to customersupport@starpointgemini.com, and we will check it out again asap.

Other potential reasons may be an antivirus program or an issue with shared files or folders in your Proton setup.

But a first step would be verifying the game files.

I tried again with latest Proton 5.0.1 and the game works!
I flew around for 15 minutes and shot down few spacecrafts without noticing any problems, expect low FPS.
I guess that average on my machine (i5 3350p, RX 560, 8 GB RAM) was around 25 FPS on medium environment quality settings.

Good day,
I played this using Proton and the game worked well. FPS was really good on 2560X1440 resolution. Voice had an issue that an hour into playing, Capitan Bold stopped talking. The other characters had no issues. I played this till I ran out of content on the Campaign.

Well, new beta update will significantly upgrade the entire freeroam experience, rework parts of existing campaign, and finally unlock another part of the campaign. Hope you'll like it!

Not sure if you optimized the game or it's because of Proton 5.0.5, but FPS is much better than before. Still not good enough on my i5 3350p / RX560.

I played campaign til I stole new ship and didn't experience any issues. I found my mouse to be too sensitive, but in options I couldn't drop sensitivity below 50%.

I hope that in the final form the game will be less linear and that you'll find a way to not show "You are getting away from the mission" alert because it kills immersion and it's not fun.
