Worth it?
I'm a huge fan of M&D games yet after the negative feedback I'm unsure if I'm still interested in purchasing... I don't necessarily mind if it's short, but is the gameplay any good? Does it compare to the previous shelter games?

The game is fun and relaxing... but the price tag is ridiculous. The most I would pay for this game is 5$. Fortunately I got it for a bit cheaper than that.

I think it's the weakest shelter game. it´s a weird hybrid between the two previous titles, but i might resembles more the fisrt one in the linarity but lacks the emotianal strength and tense moments it had. Shelter 3 is also way to short, I finish the fisrt playtrhough in 40 minutes or so, and it doesn´t have almost any replayability. it´s an experience worth trying and not as bad as I might be making it sound, but the price might be a little to high.

Yeah I'm curious too, I'm pretty scared off by the mixed reviews.

Compared to the other two, no it really can't compete. It isn't really replayable and it feels more like a walking simulator that anything else. You don't feel very connected to the other animals like in the other games, and it lacks that social feeling of the other ones, despite having a focus on it because of their species.

i see two sides to this-one side...if they had made it cheaper on relase they woud have got more buyers and perhaps less complaints but on the other side....i think the price was fine as indie developers who can make this level of gaming need a fair wage-im sure steam must take a big cut out of it,i bought shelter 3 as soon as it hit Steam but the barrier for me was more to do with the textures, i have severe issues with visual processing and struggled to get what texture represented what part of land-the contrasts were very difficult to process and see, and i also found the controls very difficult to use-perhaps it was my very poor fine motor skills, either way i got a bit put off and swapped to obsessively playing the very overpriced forza horizon 4.

If you wanted a game that isn't as fast paced as Shelter 2 but still very fun: I'd highly recommend getting Paws on sale instead of Shelter 3.

For me, the gameplay is lackluster, very bland. The paths are boring and rather confusing, and nothing of interest ever happens.
